I didn’t bother ringing the bell; no one would listen to it anyway. I opened the door and there were tons of people inside the house. Leah told me Luke, Adrian’s best friend, would invite everyone they knew, but I didn’t think he meant it literally. Gosh, I swear it was difficult to walk from one room to another.
I could see a lot of college girls with almost no clothes on, I instantly felt self-conscious and looked at what I was wearing. It was a black dress that reached my mid tights and showed a bit of cleavage without being too slutty. I wanted to look good for Adrian, but now I was a little insecure.
I still couldn’t believe all the things he said. At first I thought he was lying about liking me, but when he told me that he only made out with that bimbo because he was trying to get me out of his mind and that nothing happened I believed him. Everything started to make sense. I wasn’t going crazy after all; I was right about the signs he gave me, but I wasn’t sure if his words were enough for me to forgive him.
The thing is, seeing him with that girl hurt me too much. I know we weren’t together or anything, but still, it felt like there was something between us. And that’s why I hesitated. But I should have known better; I should’ve realized that the feelings I have for him are too strong to be ignored. I couldn’t resist him asking for forgiveness and the soft pecks he gave me.
That kiss was even better than the first one. I know, maybe I should have stayed away from him, but can you blame me? I mean, he so sweet, and romantic, and after our talk I can tell he really cares about me, Plus, he’s really handsome.
After a few minutes of search I saw him talking with a few guys. He hasn’t seen me, so I just kept watching him from where I was. He’s so damn perfect.
It’s hard to believe that a girl like me is with a guy like him. When I say he’s perfect, I really mean he is perfect. He’s tall, all muscles, like an underwear model (not that I have seen him in his underwear, but I can totally picture it); deep blue eyes that can make you melt and his lips…I’m not even going to think about it, because if I do, I’ll probably jump on him.
Unfortunately, he’s always attracting all kinds of sluts; like that one wearing what I can only assume is her little sister’s dress and is almost humping on my man!
I stayed where I was. He hasn’t seen me yet and I wanted to see what he was going to do. He said something to her and the girl walked away very embarrassed and angry.
“You really messed with his head you know,” I turned around and to see Luke standing behind me.
“What you mean?” I ask nervously. I didn’t know if Adrian has told him about us.
“In the old days he would never reject a girl like that,” he said pointing at the girl that was now walking away from Adrian.
“Well, that’s what a guy who has a girlfriend should do. His days as a man whore are over.” At least I hope so…
“So you two are together now, huh?”
I bit my lip. He didn’t know? “I thought you knew,” I said.
“Nope, I knew what everyone else noticed, that you two were totally into each other. A few days back he told me he messed up with you, but he didn’t tell you are together now and man, that screw all my plans!”
“Ah?” I think I need a translator to talk to Luke because I didn’t understand a thing he says.
“I had all this speech planned to convince you to forgive him so I could be the good guy and now it’s completely useless!”
I laughed at that. Luke is Adrian’s best friend, so it’s nice to know that he’s OK with our relationship.
All of a sudden someone grabbed my wrist and dragged me to some dark room nearby. When I was about to scream, Adrian’s voice echoed in my ears. “Hey beautiful,” he whispered while turning the lights on. I could see now that we were in the closet.
“Hey boyfriend,” I said smiling. I need to get used to that word. “Do you need something?” I asked amused.
“Yes, I do,” he said and kissed me.
His hands were on my waist and mine went to his hair while he held me close to him. I could feel the heat from his body warm my skin while we kissed. I would never get tired of this.
The kiss was gentle and sweet and it lasted for what seemed hours. His lips left mine as he started to kiss my jaw and neck which was driving me crazy and sent a shiver through my body.
“I can’t believe that I’m dating the most beautiful girl in the party,” he said between kisses and I giggled in response.
He quickly kissed my lips one more time before saying “we have to go back to the party before people notice our absence.”
 After we left the room, we found Max and Leah who were dancing in the living room.
“Vicky! I can’t believe you showed up, I‘m so glad! Are you feeling better?” Leah yelled through the music.
“Much better,” I replied laughing and trying really hard not to look at Adrian.
“You look good,” Leah told me.
“I agree,” Adrian added with a huge smirk.
“Thanks,” I looked at the floor trying to hide my reddened cheeks.
“And brother! You look so much happier! I knew that this party would cheer you up!” Leah said joyfully while hugging Adrian.
“Sure sis; that was all I needed after all,” Adrian said winking at me over Leah’s shoulder. I blushed again and hoped no one would notice it.
After that, Adrian stayed with his friends and I danced with Max and Leah.
“Where’s Roxie?” I asked Max while Leah was getting us some drink.
“She’s coming later, she needs to stay with her little brother for a while.” Max answered.
“Poor Roxie, she always misses all the fun!” I said.
“Poor kid!, I can only imagine what Roxie does to him,” he joked and we both laughed.
Leah came with sodas and asked why we were laughing.
“We are just trying to imagine Roxie babysitting her little brother,” Max explained.
“That must be interesting, but speaking of Roxie, she just called me. She’s arriving at any minute now.”
We continued to dance and a few minutes later Roxie was dancing with us.
“Oh my god!! Look at all these college boys, they’re hot!” She said while Leah and Max weren’t around.
Well, my college boy was definitely hot, but I couldn’t say that to her, so I just nodded.
We kept dancing and every now and then Adrian would look at me and smile his breathtaking smile; the one that showed his dimples. Every time he did that my heart almost stopped in my chest. I sooo wanted to be with him right now.
Leah and Max were still gone, probably making out in her room when some guy approached us with a bottle of bear in his hand. He was tall and had blond hair and green eyes. He was pretty cute, but nothing compared to Adrian.
“Hi, gorgeous. I’m Kevin. What’s your name?” He asked me.
“Um… Vicky?” I hesitated and it sounded more like a question.
“So, Vicky, wanna go to somewhere more private where we can talk?”
“I don’t think so,” I coldly replied him. At this point I could see Adrian walking towards us. Oh this can’t be good. Roxie gave me a ‘are you crazy’ look and Kevin frowned, but before he could say anything Roxie spoke.
“I would love to talk to you and get to know you better,” she said with a seductive smile.
He eyed her from head to toe then smirked. “Yeah, I bet you would,” he responded and led her away from me. Man, I can’t believe that that girl is a virgin. I was worried about her, I mean; does she know what she’s doing? But at the same time, I couldn’t help but feel relieved that the guy wouldn’t bother me anymore.
When Adrian reached me I was smiling to myself, thinking that the situation hasn’t been that bad after all.
“What happened?” he asked; his eyes fallowing Kevin and Roxie.
“Oh, nothing really, that guy wanted someone to talk to and Roxie was a voluntary”, I explained grinning.
“I know exactly what he wanted to talk about,” Adrian said annoyed.
“Don’t worry, Adrian. You’re the only one I want to talk with,” I said and winked. I didn’t know where my confidence came from but didn’t really care because Adrian actually blushed a little, he looked so cute.
He put his hands around my waist and kissed my cheek. His lips lingered on my skin and all I wanted was to turn my head and kiss him on the mouth, but I knew I couldn’t do it.
“Let’s dance, V.” He whispered in my ear. I nodded and we begin to move together.
We danced a couple of songs together and then he needed to go again. People started to leave and everybody wanted to say goodbye to him. Roxie, Max and Leah were nowhere to be seen, so I just sat on the couch. I could go home, but I wanted to spend some time alone with Adrian. We’ve been together for a few hours and I’m already addicted to him!
It didn’t take long till everyone was gone. I guess Roxie left with Kevin, and I can only hope she was ok.
Adrian came and sat beside me. We were now alone in the living room.
“I’m exhausted,” he said wrapping his arm around my shoulders. I rested my head on his chest, getting closer.
“It was a good party,” I confessed.
“The best birthday ever,” he told me smiling. I looked to him too and soon we were kissing. I know. I can’t keep my lips off of his, but who cares? As long as Adrian wants it, I won’t stop kissing him.
“We can’t do this here. Leah must be in somewhere in the house,” He said frowning. He must be wondering where she is, time to distract him.
“Can’t we just continue in somewhere else?” I just realized what I asked after the words left my mouth and I blushed. I needed to say something that would make Adrian forget about Leah, but I should’ve thought before speak! Damn. Now he must think I’m an easy girl.
Adrian didn’t say anything, just smiled and took my hand, pulling me up and leading me to his room. Oh my god, what have I done!?
When he opened the door, still holding my hand, we saw a couple making out on his bed.
“The party’s over, everybody out!!!!” Adrian yelled.
The both of them jumped at the sound of Adrian’s voice and looked at us with widened eyes. The boy picked his shirt from the floor and they left in a rush.
Adrian and I just laughed while he closed the door behind us. We sat on his bed and I started to get nervous. My hands were seating and I looked at my lap.
“Don’t worry V. I won’t do anything you don’t want,” he said taking my hand. I nodded, finally looking up at him. I never really doubted that, but since I was the one who asked to come upstairs, he could have misunderstood my words.
But he’s the perfect gentleman, he would never act like that jerk, Oliver.
I smiled up at him and leaned to give him a peck on his lips. But of course it wasn’t enough so soon our tongues were exploring each others mouth. Instinctively we both leaned down so I was lying on my back with him on top of me. I put my hands behind his neck pulling him to me, but instead of coming closer he pulled apart and sat up. I didn’t understand why he did that, but I guess he didn’t want to pressure me.
He quickly kicked off his shoes and took off my heels.
“What are you doing, Adrian? I need to go home,” I was completely confused.
“I know, I’ll walk you there in 30 minutes. Just stay with me a little longer.”
“OK,” I replied.
He lay on the bed beside me and pulled me closer. I rested my head on his chest and wrapped one of my arms around his body. It felt so comfortable.
“Adrian, have you ever thought that this could happen to us?” I asked him.
“Not in a million years,” he answered. “I only realized how grown up you and Leah are that day we talked about that bastard.”
“I have no idea why I talked to you about all that stuff,” I confessed.
“I was a little shocked at first too, but I guess everything happens for a reason.”
“What you mean?” I asked.
“Well, that talk brought us closer. After that day I started to feel more comfortable around you, and even though I didn’t want to admit it to myself, I wanted to be with all the time. I wanted to take care of you and be there when you needed me, so in a way that talk changed everything. Maybe if you haven’t said those things to me we wouldn’t be together now,” he explained.
I held him tighter at the thought of not being with him. He laughed a little.
“I know, I don’t like that idea either,” he said as if he could read my mind and I could feel him kissing my head.
“V.?” He spoke again.
“Hum?” I mumbled.
“I want to take you out on a date,” he finally said.
“A date?”
“Yeah. I mean, we’re together now but we’ve never been on a real date. So would you like to go on a date with me tomorrow night?”
“I would love to,” I said and smiled up at him
“Just don’t wait too much of it. I’m not that experienced at that” He running his hand through his head in embarrassment. Oh right. He just has sex with the girls. But I’m not going to think about it.
“Don’t worry Adrian, I’m sure everything’s going to be perfect,” I told him and I could feel him nodding his head.
His hand was caressing my back lightly. His touch was so comforting that I felt asleep on his bed.
