I'm Dating the Man of Steel

Finally my chance to make it big in the news career! Metropolis Home of the world famous Daily Planet. Today was my first day and I didn't want to dissapoint. I pull on a black short sleeved shirt and pair it with a white blazer and some dress pants. I roughly curl my long blond hair. I apply my usual make-up and perfume. I heat up some coffe and quickly make some waffles for myself. I chug my coffee as I drive to work. When I finally arrive I notice a poster on the side of the building. There is a man in a blue suit that is really tight basically spandex. It has a red and yellow 'S' on the chest and a red cape. the poster reads "Superman Our New Hope" The man in the picture is really good looking. Slick black hair and bright blue eyes. His face is perfectly shaped and he is freaking ripped! I must have been standing there for a few minutes assesing the poster because someone tapped me and snapped me out of my trance.

"Excuse me? Miss? are you lost?" Came a voice. I turn around and I see a girl with long brown hair and she looks very professional. She has on a very slick modern black dress and her eye makeup is very sleek.

"Oh yes sorry I was on my way to work but I stopped to look at this poster." I say gesturing to the poster.

"I see. Do you work here?" she asks pointing to the Daily Planet sign.

"yes I do it's my first day as an investigavive reporter." I say placing my hands on my hips.

"Oh well then Hello. I'm Lois Lane...you are?" she asks.

"Hailey Conners. Nice to meet you Miss. Lane I am a huge fan of your work." I say shaking her hand.

"Thank you. Now why don't we head inside before we are late and Perry rips our heads off." she laughs. I follow her through the grand doors and inside the rooms are adornded with awards from winning peices and everywhere I looked people were busy at work. we head to the elevator and got to the 3rd floor. Lois shows me to my desk and i get set up. I notice the boy next to me. he seems really young.

"Hi I'm new here." i say.

The boy looks up and smiles. "Oh yeah! Perry told me we had a new reporter! I'm Jimmy Olsen." he says holding out a hand. I shake it and smile.

"Hailey Conners. Nice to meet you Jimmy."

"Why don't I show you around introduce you to some people." He offers.

"I'd love that!" I say. Quickly Jimmy takes my hand and leads me around the newsroom. I met lots of cool people. He kept mentioning this one guy though 'C.K.' I don't know who that is but he really looks up to him. like a lot! About 20 minutes after meeting everyone and I was settled and working Jimmy comes bolting up to my desk.

"He's here! C.K.! He's here! Finally." He says pointing to the elevator. I look over just in time to see a man walk through the elevator doors. He is about 6'1 with slick black hair and nerdy glasses but behind those glasses pretty blue eyes. He is wearing a really nice suit. He seemed really fit.

"C.K Come here someone I want you to meet!" He says motioning him over to us. The man makes his way over and a smile crosses his face.

"C.K this is Hailey she's new!"

"Hello. I'm Clark Kent. Nice to meet you." he says shaking my hand.

"Likewise." I say returning a smile.  

He looked like a nice guy. My thoughts were interupted by Lois yelling at Clark.

"Clark you big dufus where is the story?!" she says

Without saying a word Clark raises his breifcase and points at it. I chuckle at how witty he is. He says good bye and offers to take me to lunch today. I accept. There is something about nerdy guys that just makes me love them. Not like 'love' the kind of love where it's like "aww your adorable" type thing. 

I sit back down at my computer and begin searching up everything I can on Superman. Wow this guy is awesome. Once again I am interupted. Only this time by Perry.

"Conners. There is a robbery down on 32nd street you and Kent go" he says. I quickly grab my purse and shove a notebook and pen into it.  I grab my keys and head out. I guess Clark already left. I drive down to 32nd as quickly as I can. When I arrive I see two men wearing masks and carrying bags of money. Everyone around them is freaking out. Then I hear a noise overhead like an airplane. I look up to see something flying. What is that a bird? Then it lands. Oh my God...It's Him! It's Superman! He quickly yanks the bags from the robbers. One of them pulls out a gun and shoots him in the chest. The bullets ritochet and bounce off the Bank. He grabs the robbers gun and crushes it. The first robber tries to tackle Superman but to no avail. Superman grabs him and throws him on the ground. Not a moment too soon the cops arrive and thank Superman for his work.  He is about to fly off but I yell his name.

"Superman!!" He slowly turns to look at me.

"yes?"

"Hi I'm Hailey Conners Daily Planet I'm new in town. Is there any way I can get an interview with you?" I ask.

"Sure." he says with a smile.

I pull out a pen and write my adress on it.  "Here I get off work at about 6:30 so is 7:00 okay with you?" I ask.

"7:00 is fine" He says then just like that he takes off.
