Azelma's P.O.V.
I duck behind an apple cart, Javet walks past. I breathe a sigh of relief. He's pretty mad, probably from lack of sleep, and would probably arrest me on sight. I hear a shout. Gavroche runs past the apple cart with Javert hot on his trail. Gavroche lets out a laugh,
"You'll never catch me Javert! Besides a meal without these donuts will do you a lot of good!"
"Come back here! You street urchin!" Javert shouts, his face as red as the barricades' flag.Gavroche just laughs, and runs to the Elephant.
"Bring the ladder down boys!" A rope ladder drops Gavroche goes on the first rung, "Pull me up boys!" The rope ladder pulls up slowly, but surely. A group of dirtied boys, dressed in rags, pop up as soon as they pull the ladder up. They laugh and taunt Javert from their high perch. Javert jumps around madly, as if he could jump up and catch Gavroche.
"Nice try Javie!"
"JAVIE!!! JAVIE! YOU! YOU'RE THAT PERSON MOCKING ME LAST NIGHT!!!" his face burned with rage, I couldn't help it I started to laugh. His face turned even more red.
" I AM THE LAW! AND THE LAW IS NOT MOCKED!"It's so hard to remember that he's scary when he sings like a dying goat. (A.N. No offense to Javert, my band teacher actually thinks he sounds like a goat so I felt like putting that there.) Gavroche and his friends taunt him for about an hour or so, finally Javert gets tired of this.
"AAGHH!! YOU ARE DRIVING ME TO THE BRINK OF INSANITY!!!" He storms away. Gavroche and his friends laugh triumphantly! I can't help it, I laugh. A loud long laugh that seems to ring through the streets of Paris. Everyone turns to look at me. The peasant girl laughing, behind an apple cart in the midst of a revolution. Combferre is one of those people. The student pushes his glasses up his nose and walks away. My ears feel warm, was it just me or was Combferre's face red too?
A.N. WWAAHH!!! Only 7 more days! Anyway, I added some CombferrexAzelma because, well, I like it. So flashback to day 2, Azlema blushes, because Jehan hugs like Commbferre, andAzelma has a crush on Combferre, okay? I'm excited for next post! :) Um... what else oh yeah!
