There are all sorts of monsters – The boogie man, a dog with rabies, zombies, poisonous spiders, regrets and memories. There are also monsters that drive the same car as you, sit next to you on the bus, are next to your name in the phonebook. They’re the kind of monsters you don’t shriek and run away when you see, but you see through. They all share something in common; whether it is a poor family life, a horrible addiction, or an incident that just made them Snap. They are the monsters you see in jury duty, and although you don’t scream at the sight of them, you know your soul is in trouble if you look them in the eye.
I Am A Monster.
I Am A Psychopath.
I Am Insane.
I Am A Freak.
I Am Russell Edan Denton.
I am writing you this letter in a somewhat hope that you will be the one to publish my story. It is not that my story is out of the ordinary, but it is a true one, and one that should be shared. For you see, although millions of people live their lives without ever noticing a Monster breeze through their lives like a cold winters wind, everyone is at risk from the moment they are born. Every living being acquires something that make Monsters lust.
These letters you will receive will not teach you nor anyone who might read this story (if you do indeed publish it) how to get out of harms way. That is impossible. But these letters will show you how we are created.
I am a dangerous man, and therefore am allotted only so much time with a pen under surveillance. You will receive a letter every Monday until my story is told. What you wish to do with it is entirely up to you.
Have a safe day.
