[New story! My inspiration is the series Fairly Odd Parents. I L O V E that show<33 Too bad they took it off the network, so now I have to watch it on Netflix. Oh well ;D]

"You have Fairy God Parents!" I snickered at Crocker's new outbreak. It must be something being a forty year old man trying to look for mythical creatures. Hm, sounds like my dad. He's always trying to make a reason of why my room is always a mess. He thinks Fairies or Warlocks come into my room in the middle of the night and trash everything in sight.

I watched the screen carefully as the Turners and Dinkelburgs get ready for a garden contest. I rolled onto the floor as my favorite saying is said. "Hurry honey! The judges are judging and the Dinkelburgs are Dinkelburging"

My laugh became uncontrollable as I clutch my stomach. Tears begin to stream out of my lids. People usually don't understand why that line is so hilarious to me, and neither do I. After gathering myself, I continued to lounge on the couch until the episode ended.

I turned to gaze at my clock. It read 3:25. On cue, I began to yawn which meant it was time for me to hit the sheets. I slowly trudged towards the end of the hallway where my room was located. Before I turned the knob, a flicker of light shined out of the corner of my eye.

I circled around so that I was facing the other end of the hallway where the attic ladder was unfolded. I began to tiptoe down the hallway, making sure I kept noise at a minimum. I hesitated only for a moment before stepping on the bar and slowly making my way into the small space we called the attic. No one had been in here in years. Cob webs were laced around the corners. Family photographs cluttered most of the space. Marionette dolls laid untouched in a case I had brought up here two years ago.

The light slivered away from me, stopping in a small puddle by a chest. The lock indicated that I wouldn't be able to see what it held. I sighed in defeat as I slowly moved towards the door. A clicking noise made my head snap into the direction of the chest, which was now open wide. I peered into the chest, only to be disappointed.

A lamp, which looked like it was pulled out of a Genie movie, sat unmoved at the bottom. The light had seemed to dim until the point of where it disappeared. My excitement dulled down and boredom filled its place. "Wow. For once, I thought something in my life would be interesting." I shook my head back and forth.

I got out of my sitting position which led me to bump my head on the roof that hung too low. I rubbed the spot that was sore as I crawled towards the light of the hallway that filled the room. A light in the corner of my eye shined, making the corner of the room visible.

My curiosity got the best of me. I sighed in frustration as I crawled back to the spot I had abandoned. I peered into the chest. I gasp as I saw the lamp illuminating the room with a soft yellow glow. I was hesitant for what I was going to do next.

I proceeded to carefully lift up the lamp out of the bottom. I could literally see my face reflecting off of its side. Feeling cliché, I began to rub the lamp until my arms were sore. My shoulders slumped with disappointment.

"Well, that's sad. I was actually hoping something would pop out at me an-." My sentence was cut short by smoke entering my mouth. I coughed rapidly, trying to clear my throat. My vision suddenly blackened by the amount of smoke that streamed out of the hole that was located at the top of the lamp.

A few minutes passed and the smoke had evacuated the room. My vision finally came to me as I gawked up at the figure staring down at me, his eyes burning holes into my head. My mouth slowly fell open in awe. He began to clear his throat before he spoke.

"Hello! I'm Alex, and I am here to give you anything your heart desires in just three wishes. Shall we begin?" His voice shook the floor boards, probably waking the whole household. My breath was caught in my throat, not allowing me to speak.

I remained unmoved until my vision began to blur. I began to feel light headed as the room began to spin around me. The last thing I remembered was my head thumping onto the frigid wood floor.

The next morning I woke up to the sound of a pair of feet shuffling. My eyes fluttered open to find a unknown man dancing to Party Rock Anthem. I gasped as I sat up in my bed, pressing my back into the wall, trying to get as much distance as I could from him.

"Oh! Hey, you're awake. Finally." He rolled his eyes casually. He was acting like braking into stranger's houses and living in their attics were a regular day-today thing. I tried to grasp the fact that he came out of a small contained space. I couldn't even shove my pinky in there!

He stood at 6'9. His head came inches away from my ceiling. His hair was sticking up in the most random places, giving him that just-out-of-bed look. He was wearing casual clothes. He could easily fit in at any normal high school.

I had rubbed my eyes to make sure I weren't seeing things. His feet were hovering just above the ground. That would explain why he towered over me a good foot. His smile seemed to brighten my room. A single lamp shined in the corner by my bed, but I could see him clearly. It was like he had a glow that radiated off of him.

"Wh-what are you doing in here!? Get out!" I grasped a pillow firmly in my hands. I placed it over my chest, protecting me from whatever he had in mind. He snickered as he took the pillow and thrown it over his shoulder. Who did he think he was? Coming in my house and snatching away my pillow. I would've attempted to throw another object at him if I weren't frozen in place.

"Like I said before you passed out, I'm Alex." He held out his hand for a formal handshake, but took it back almost instantly when he realized I wasn't going to touch him. "I'm in your room because you rubbed my home and since my father retired last week, I have to take his place."

The words were stuck under my tongue. When I didn't speak he cleared his throat to continue. "Anyways", he began as he took out a piece of paper and scanning over it," Hi! I'm Alex. Okay, already covered that. Twice. I'm your one, your only, magical Genie," He rolled his eyes which caused me to giggle low enough for him not to hear, "You have this once in a lifetime opportunity to have three magical wishes to fulfill your magical life. Enjoy."

He rolled the paper into a ball before placing it back into his pocket. I didn't realize I was gawking at him until he cleared his throat. "See anything that you like?" He asked, gesturing towards his chest.

That snapped me out of my daze. "Psh, says you. Anyways, how do I know this isn't some scam?" I cocked an eyebrow in his direction.

"Oh come on! I came out of a lamp for Pete's sake! I just want to get this over with so I can get back home." He snapped, throwing both hands in the air.

"Well! Someone's not very 'magical.'" I repeated the word that was already overused. He rolled his eyes slightly before sighing out of impatience. The corner of my lips tugged upwards.

"Three wishes, eh? This should be fun."
