(Erik’s POV 1985)

I led Christine down in the tunnels under the opera house, my heart pounding. This was the first that I’ve ever touched her, ever seen her this close before. I helped her into the boat and paddled it towards my lair, singing a soft lullaby to her to keep her in my trance. We slowly made our way there. I helped her out of the boat and walked her slowly to my organ.

I sung to her, “In all your fantasies, you always new

that man and mystery”

“Were both in you.” She sung back.

“And in this labyrinth

were night is life

the Phantom of the Opera is there,

inside my/your mind.” We sung in unison, our voices clashing perfectly together.

“Sing, my Angel of Music.” She gradually made her voice go higher.

“Sing, my Angel.” I told her, making her push her voice harder. She went one note higher.

I thrust my arm out making her lift her head higher. “Sing for me!” She sang one note higher still.  I knew she could go higher. I wanted to show her the power of her voice.

“Sing, my Angel!” She made her voice go even higher! But I knew she could go even higher!

Sing for me!” I yelled, and at last she hit the highest note I have ever heard before. Satisfied I marched over to my organ and began to pound the keys.

“I have brought you, to the seat of sweet music’s throne, to this kingdom where all must pay homage to music, music.” I sung with ease. I just barely glanced up at her and saw that she was still in my trance. You have come here! For one purpose and one alone! Since the moment I have first heard you sing, I have needed you with me, to serve me, to sing for my music…” Now to pull her in completely. I have worked on this song just for her for hours on end.

“Night time sharpens, heightens each sensation

Darkness stirs and wakes imagination…

Silently the senses abandon their defenses…” I held out the high note and slowly walked towards her.

“Slowly, gently night unfurls its splendor

Grasp it, sense it, tremulous and tender” I pulled her into me and could tell I was intoxicating her.

I slowly pushed her face away with my hand as gently as possible. “Turn your face away from the garish light of day

I pulled her face back towards mine. “Turn your thoughts away from cold unfeeling light,

And listen to the music of the night” Our lips were dangerously close and my heart was pounding wildly.

I quickly turned away from her and took a step away. “Close your eyes and surrender to your darkest dreams

Purge your thoughts of the life you knew before…”

Close your eyes, let your spirit start to soar,” I sang softly, holding out the note perfectly liken ever before.

I walked close to her again and wrapped my arms around her, my body burning with desperation and desire. “And you live as you've never lived before.” By now I was holding her in my arms completely.
