Stuck where I want to be

A large yellow bus skidded to a stop right in front of Anya Gray. She was standing only a few paces away from a crossing between two main, busy streets. However, if it wasn't for the chattering of her fellow peers, Anya wouldn't have noticed the very distinct change in her surroundings for she was staring longingly at a billboard across the street.

She hurriedly got on the yellow bus and grabbed the first seat, neither too near to the front nor the back, that she could find. As soon a she sat down, she resumed her former activity of staring at the billboard. The billboard featured an advertisement for a new clothing brand, one designed by a famous actress.

Of course, Anya could care less about the clothing line. All she cared about was the designer/actress in the ad. See, that person is living her dream. All her life, Anya wished for nothing more than to be EXACTLY what she wanted to become in life. She didn't wish for a pony, a sizable shopping spree, or the latest gadgets. Every wish she had ever made was aimed toward success. The one thing that kept Anya going was the hope that one day she'll be the one on the billboard, the commercial, the prodution, or the news. After the billboard finally drifted away from sight, Anya felt the rush of reality flooding back to her. She sighed, flipping her dark brown hair over her shoulder. Her shoulder length hair had grown over the summer and the 2 weeks it's been since school resumed. As she smoothed her white polo shirt and fixed her black pencil skirt, the bus slowed while approaching it's next stop.
