Chapter Four:

I couldn't focus all threw Charms.  Potions was a complete blur.  Tranfisguration, well I don't even remember if I had that.  All I could think about were Fred and George.  And tonight.  What should I wear?  My robes?  Or would that make me seem like a geek?  Maybe regular clothes I packed.  But what if everyone there is in robes?  I sighed exasperatedly.

By the time lunch rolled around I was a nervous wreck.

"You okay?" Massie asked me.

"Oh yeah.  Just peachy" I said.

"You look like your brain exploded." Massie commented.

"I feel like my brain exploded" I said as I sat down next to her.

"Why?"

"Tonight"

"Don't worry Em, everythings going to work out fine." Massie said.

"But what if it doesn't?  What if I'm forced to be in the corner because no one wants to talk to me?  What if...I don't know I embarrase myself?"

"Then shrug it off"

"Easy for you to say" I said.

"Don't worry!  Everything is going to be okay"

"Why wouldn't something be okay?" Fred asked sitting across from me.

"I, uh" I looked at Massie for support.

"Emma's worried about tonight" Massie said catching my glance.

I elbowed her under the table.

"Ow!" She said.

"What are you worried about?  We don't bite" Fred teased.

"Much" George joked sitting next to Fred.

Massie and I laughed.

"Come in regular clothes by the way.  Nothing fancy" Fred said.

One problem solved.  Just about thirty more to go.

I nodded.  Suddenly I remembered something.

"Oh Fred!  Here this is for you" I took out a piece of paper with a drawing on it.

"This is....amazing" Fred said.  It was the Womping Willow.  I drew it last night when the moon was out.  It seemed to have a nice effect.

"Thanks.  It's nothing special though" I shrugged.  Wait a minute...was...was I talking, normal?  Massie seemed to notice it too.  She glanced at me and smiled.  Confidence, here I come. 

"So Emma what's new?" Fred asked.

"Nothing really" I said quieter.  Confidence, there it goes.

"Really?  You're not going out with your boyfriend or anything?" George asked.

"I don't have a boyfriend" I said.

"Oh" Fred said.

I thought I saw George smile for a second.  But when I took a double take he wasn't.  Maybe it was just my imagination...

"What would we even be doing there?" Massie asked.

"Well we're going to plan this huge prank on the Slytherin's so we need ideas and people willing to do it" George glanced at me.

"Is that it?" I asked.

"Basically" Fred said creasing his eyebrows together.  "Not very fun if you think about it..."

"It could be" I shrugged.

"Well it's not really a party now is it?" George asked.

"Well we're not allowed to have parties at Hogwarts" Massie said.

"And you think that has stopped us before?" Fred laughed.

I stared down at my plate.  I was hungry, but I didn't want to eat.  I wanted tonight to happen.  So bad.  Every moment with them was like a moment in heaven.  I sighed.

"What's wrong Ms.Sighy?" Georged asked.

"Ms.Sighy?" I raised an eyebrow.

"Okay not one of my best jokes.  Seriously though what's wrong?  You've been sighing a lot" George asked concerned.

"Oh I'm fine" I said waving my hand.

"Hey, can I ask you something?" George asked.

"Sure" I said.  My heart started pumping faster.  I wonder what he wants to ask me.  Is it good?  Is it bad?
