RECAP:

I'm guessing the smile on my face disappeared  because now Octavian was smiling.

“She couldn't of known what it meant when she was ten years old, she just couldn't!” I yelled, starting to get frustrated.

“You're right Luke, she didn't know what it meant when she was ten,” Octavian said. “But she knows what it means now, and the funny part is, I don't need you to undo the seal. You told her how to, don't know remember?” Octavian finished and I couldn't even deny the fact that he was right. I actually did teach Amy how to undo the seal when she was ten years old, not even thinking that I would ever be in this situation.

“You're...you're right. I did...” I felt like I had been defeated in my own game.

Luke's POV:

I hung my head low as realization kept sinking in. Amy will undo the seal, Octavian will keep his powers, and father will most likely kill me because I have failed to do what he expected of me. Well, this sucks.

I looked back up to see that Octavian was still smiling, but Amy had re-entered the room. I saw her sit down and begin chanting an old verse from our family that will undo the seal.

"Fire, water, earth, and air. Let the chaos begin everywhere. "

"Fire will burn cities down. Water will make you drown.

"Earth makes people want to play, but Air keeps them alive everyday"

Amy repeated this two more times until the seal had disappeared off of Octavian's arm.

She was again staring and sending daggers at me while I lay on this bed, handcuffed, and helpless. But suddenly, the makeshift handcuffs disappeared and the second they did, I bolted.

"No, no, no...not so fast Luke," Octavian said quickly before the floor dropped out beneath me. I fell into a pile of leaves. That's classic. "I told you not to go so fast. If you would have slowed down before running out of my room, the floor wouldn't have collapsed."

I decided not to answer and to just chill for a while. I really didn't feel like moving around too much because my leg was still healing. Octavian and Amy didn't seem to mind that I stayed down here, probably because Amy stopped caring about me by now. That's always how it was with our family. It was either you were with us, or you abandoned us. There was never an in between option. My life is a complete disaster, I have killed more people then the average person can count too. This is my life, but I would never want Amy to have to do this. Yes, she may be able to pull a gun on her own brother, but I know that she had good intentions to protect Octavian.

"Are you okay down there? We could get you out you know," a quiet voice asked. So she does still care, I thought to myself with a smile. But there was something different about her. She seemed to have a slight glow around her body, they same kind of glow that surrounds Octavian, the Elemental, when I looked at him. When you kill elementals over the course of seven years, you start to notice things about them, even if it is just as simple as this situation right here.

"Getting me out would be very nice," I said sincerely. After the words left my mouth, I was suddenly being pushed up by a growing tree, obviously formed by Octavian, I hope.

I didn't notice how deep the hole in the floor was until I was finally out and back on solid ground and I was about to thank Octavian until I remembered why I am even here. To kill him. I akwardly start walking backwards while reaching for my second gun that was tucked in the back of my jeans. Both Amy and Octavian were eyeing my up suspiciously and they had good reason to be doing so.

I finally had my hand around the gun but I stupidly forgot in those two minutes of being out of the hole, that the hole in the floor itself was still in fact there. When I was drawing my gun, I felt my foot slip and I fell back into the hole. I could tell Octavian didn't see the gun because he was willing to help me out again. But Amy however did because the stare she was giving me after telling Octavian not to help me, was deadly. Just with that look I felt the same way when Octavian raised his hand and cut off my oxygen. My eyelids began to get heavy and started to close but before they did, I could have sworn that I saw a quick flash of fire arouse from her hand. But with this lack of oxygen, my own hand looked like spider. I couldn't even tell what was real anymore. But before I passed out, I heard a quiet, "What the hell?" most likely from Octavian, and then I passed out for a second time today.
