Black Puss
Stealthily they wander Across your lawn at night Sometimes they will let out Some screech that may you fright Pity the poor frogs and voles That havent gone to ground Will they soon be frozen Such fear comes with that sound Often when in daylight One is seen to cross the path Someone will be muttering But me, I have a laugh For though they may have eyes of green That set in perfect black do gleam How can they bring you luck at all Their only nuisance their night call Black cats sitting on your lap Can purr as all the rest But I prefer the tabbies For me they are the best (c)Rhumour, May 27th 2008
