"Schools out for summer ohhh Yes, schooooools out for SUMMER!" Sung Aries as she fled into a sea of mingling students. Papers, books, and trash littered the halls of Damien Junior high school. "Yes" she thought "This is it, This is my summer, This is going to be the best summer ever!" Aries Driffted into her own thoughts of how perfect her summer would be when her her day dream was Shattered by the all to familiar vioce of her twin sister. "Hey Aries were all going to the lake, wanna come?" her sister asked. Her voice was cold, and bitter. "No thanks, Im gonna stay and clean out my locker." "suit yourself" said Nicole. Aries hopes instantly shattered at the reminder of her sister. Slowly Aries Entered her locker combination for the last time. "I dont understand we're TWINS were supoused to be the same, but of course not. Its not even fair Nicole looks just like me the only difference is shes a bitchy fashion and Im ... An athlete. All she does is strut around like shes all that and then some and Everyone follows her like shes god." Aries thought to herself as she tore down pictures of her and Dustin. She picked up a picture of her sitting on dustins lap infront of Terrass lake with nicole and all there friends in the background. She stared at it remembering how close her and nicole used to be, The way they would run the town with there friends and boyfriends. "That was a different time" Aries spun to see who had said that it was nicoles bestfriend Shae. "Oh, hi Shae" She said stuffing the picture into her pocket. Shae smiled
"Sorry was trying to be nosey, just recognized that look on your face."
"oh yah I was just ... cleaning" said Aries
"Yah, They were better times, you changed when he uhh..."
"Died." finished Aries. "have a good summer Shae."
With that Said Aries crammed the last of her Decor into her bag, slammed the locker door, And left.
Aries walked slowly Dragging her feet. Memories of Dustin and her played like a slide show in her head. " This will be my first summer without him ... " She thought she walked sillently remembering his wonderfull smile and the way his eyes would shine when he would look at her. Looking up she realized were she was. She followed the windeing path Through the graveyard and stopped infront of a marble headstone, sitting down she traced the engraved lines that read "Dustin Arinmoore 1996-2010" Chokeing back tears She placed the picture on his head stone. "Happy anerversery babe" She wispered. Tears filled her eyes, as she reach out. She felt the cold smooth marble beneath her fingertips her body shook with adrenalin. Memorys overwellmed her, and tears slid silently down her cheeks.
Slowly she made her way home There wasnt really anyone on the streets, they were all out at the lake partying. When she finally got home She kicked off her sneakers and dropped her bag. On her way to her room she crossed through the living room were her mother and father were seated. She hoped to slip by un noticed ... no such luck.
"Oh hello honey how was your last day at school?" her mother chimmed.
"Fine, thanks."
Suddenly her mother sobered as if she suddenly remembered. Her mother looked down at her hands, and Aries silently slid from the room. When her door was securly closed she let out her breath and flopped down on her bed. As she stared At the ceiling she felt as if her heart was breaking all over again. She wiped away tears that werent there and got up, She walked to the window and was stareing into her back yard remembering all the night she had snuck out and layed under the stars with Dustin on that same trampoline. Sudden rage struck through her, She turned fast and grabbed blindly throwing everything she could get her hands on, after throwing everything in Grabbing distance She slid down the wall and broke out bawling.
