Chapter Seven

I woke up for the second time that day with a groan. I didn’t feel like going to class. But it was the official first day and I couldn’t miss that. With another groan I sat up. I noticed Robbie was still asleep with my iPod. He was blasting music so loud I could hear it. I shook my head and walked over to his bed. He looked so cute when he was asleep. Well he looked cute awake, but asleep he looked especially cute. I carefully took my iPod from his grasp and slowly pulled the ear buds from his ears. Apparently I wasn’t careful or slow enough because as soon as I did that blue-green orbs opened.

“What,” he said rather harshly. Then he caught himself, “Sorry. I don’t like being woken up...”

“It’s fine. I’m sorry for waking you up, but it’s time to get ready.”

Robbie groaned and turned to his side.

“Sleep for a bit while I get ready,” I said walking towards the desks. I heard him mumble an okay.

I plugged in my iPod and let it charge as I got ready. I brushed my teeth then hopped in the shower. I let the warm water fall on me. It was relaxing. After a few seconds I rubbed my body with this fancy soap the school provided. It smelled like strawberries. I liked it. After I finished my shower I wrapped a towel around my waist and walked back into the room.

“Robbie, wake up,” I said shaking him a little. That boy was fast asleep. “Robbie,” I said louder.

“Okay,” he groaned sitting up. He sat there for a moment rubbing the sleep from his eyes. “Thank you.”

“Mhm,” I said and walked to my closet. I could feel his eyes on me as I got my uniform. It seemed like he didn’t hear me. His eyes were glued to my chest, examining my abs. I smirked, “Robbie.”

He blinked, eyes snapping up to mine, “What?”

“Aren’t you gonna get ready?” I asked, smirking still.

“Oh,” he got out of bed quickly, almost falling, “Right.”

As he walked pasted me into the bathroom, Robbie kept staring at my body not noticing where he was going. I chuckled as he almost ran into the wall. He blushed super red and rushed into the bathroom. I shook my head with a smile. For some strange reason, Robbie checking me out amused me. I smiled at the thought and got dressed. Robbie came out several moments later.

“You know I don’t feel like going to school today,” he said.

“When does anyone feel like going to school?” I asked shutting off my laptop, “You done?”

“Yep let’s go Mr. Gumdrop.”

I flinched and looked at him, “What did you just call me?”

He tilted his head to the side, “I called you Blake. That is your name.”

I glared at him.

“Come on,” he said taking my hand and pulling me up, “I’m hungry.”

I responded with another glare. Robbie just shook his head and pulled me towards the door. At the same time Robbie and I came out of our room, Corey and Jaco0b came out of theirs.

“Good Morning,” Corey said brightly. Jacob just gave us the ‘sup’ nod.

“I’m guessing you’re not a morning person?” I asked him.

“Not one bit,” Jacob said then glared at Corey, “But this little one is and it annoys the hell out of me.”

“I thought you would be used to it by now,” Robbie said walking, pulling me with him. He didn’t let go of my hand, instead laced his fingers with mine. “You two have been roommates since freshman year.”

I blinked, “Seriously?”

Corey got in front of us and started walking backwards, “Yep. Jacob and I are always together.”

“They’re inseparable,” Robbie added.

“Inseparable isn’t the right word,” Jacob said coming up next to Corey. He placed hands on Corey’s shoulders and moved him out of the way of a person. “We’re just very attached to each other.”

I was now curious about their history, “Why?”

“Reasons you don’t need to know,” Jacob said darkly. His tone made me want to cringe.

Corey suddenly stopped walking and hugged Jacob. Jacob seemed to relax and hugged Corey back.
