I just don't understand
What has gone into the world
Just keeps getting darker and darker
With no inner beauty to hold
No flowers to thrive
No birds to sing
No stars to bling
No more trust so deceive
No more hope to believe
No more truth all lies
No more compassion to people who strive
People living in misery and sorrow
People saying its love
But feeling so hollow
Anger, betrayal, deception and hate
Making peoples lives a big mistake


.. then you met that special someone
who turns your whole life upside down
He was who you called your best friend
Now he sees you as his 'soul mate'
Suddenly all the darkness begins to fade
Happiness, love, hope and trust
becomes you life's philosophy
You see everything so differently now
'cause know you are loved by the person
you lest expected
The someone you never thought you would find
The someone whom your feelings you couldn't hide
The someone who had you forget all your fears
The someone who wiped away all your tears
He held on to you when you were about to fall
He never made you feel useless or small
Appreciates loves and respects you
For just being yourself
You think he's just being silly,
when he says he's in love with you
Deep inside that makes you love him even more
Then you realize, you were never really alone
You were only lost.
Now that you've found your way You think, "maybe not understanding was the best thing that ever happened to you,
or you may have never found
a feeling so true"
