Wishing You Were Mine

Hey! This is like my first story on wattpad, so I don't expect this story to be wonderful but i will honestly try my best:) well here it goes!!!

Prologue: The Day Before

Enraged at my parents, I slammed my bedroom door behind me. I put my head under the pillows on my bed, so I block out their constant yelling. Once they realized I had left the room, my bedroom door opened, allowing my angry mom to enter.

"Allison, we are done fighting. Your father and I have decided it is time you get a job. Your sister, Jaime, got one at your age and look how she turned out? Your father and I want to give you the same opportunities she was given." My mom spat at me. What!? Is she kidding me! A job? Me, Allison Gates? The daughter of Paula and Jerry Gates, getting a job? She must be kidding me.

"Mom, seriously?" I asked hoping she would admit she was only doing this to make me more angry.

"Yes, seriously," she said mocking my tone, "I feel that you need to get a taste of the real world."

"Mom, I'm only 16! I have to have a life too, and what about school? How will I be able to study and do homework when I have a job." I said trying my best not to scream.

"Honey, you'll figure it out. I'm only doing this for the greater good, your greater good. This will help you for when you go to college." My mom said in her fake, nice tone.

"Whatever, mom. When I fail all of my classes and don't even get into college, you can just blame yourself." Ha! if this doesn't get her to change her mind., I don't know what will.

"Okay, good night  Allison. Oh, and you start tomorrow!" She said with a fake smile and walked out of my room. Ugh! I was ready to scream. Why did Jaime always affect my life. She got a job so she could fly to Paris on her 17th birthday, not for college. Whatever, I'll just see what exactly this job is and give it a chance. It might not be half bad. Hey, maybe I can meet my Prince Charming too! Then get married in a castle, and have little mice servants. Laughing to myself i went to sleep, praying that tomorrow won't be that bad.
