SAMANTHA'S P.O.V.

"Okay so we're not all going to go and visit the vamps meeting tonight. Jacob, you, Quil and Embry. Are good enough to go." Sam said to the pack when we were visiting their house. Billy and Sue were outside talking to Emily about random things. "Hold up, Sam. I want Sammy to come with me if that'll be alright?" I snorted along with Quil and Embry.

"I don't I kind of want her here," Sam said looking at me with apprehension. I gave my best innocent look. "It's not like I'm going to be messing around with her while on duty. You know I'm better then that ohmightly alpha," Jake mock punched his arm. He glared at Jake for a second and then relented. "I guess it'll be okay. Quil, Embry? You two keep a watch on these two. Heavens know what goes on in their minds." Sam said and smiled at my frown.

"It's not like you can't read my mind. Plus whenever it just me and you, Sam, you're always digging in my mind. Yeah that's right you don't think I notice?" I said and put my hands on my hips and looked at my elder brother.

"What did Sam do to Sam this time?" Emily said when she saw my stance.

Sam said, "She started it!"

The exact same time I said, "He started it!"

Emily laughed at us as did Jake. "You two are hillarious when you get on each other's nerves." Jake whispered in my ear.

"Can you blame us for being related?" I asked.

"Not technically," he reasoned.

"You're an annoying little squirt," Sam said ruffling up my hair. I tried to take a swat at him but he quickly moved his hand out of my reach and I was too comfortable being in Jake's arms to move any farther. "You're not annoying." Jake said and I looked up at him and smiled. I couldn't help but noticed that whenever he looked at me he glowed.

"Hey lovebirds! Snap out of it. We have to go! Its showtime!" Embry crowed. Quil looked down at Claire, who was now permanately staying down here with her family, and said goodbye. "Bye unca Jakey! Bye auntie Sammy!" She shouted after us as we were running out into the woods. Embry was already ahead of us and Quil was lagging behind. "Come on Quil, time to get a move on!" Jake shouted behind us. I bolted forwards into the forest before the other two and quickly stripped and tied my clothes to my ankle. I then shifted to my wolf form in about two minutes flat.

You're getting quick at this, Jake commented.

Practice, that's all I gotta say- I said.

Come on we have to go and meet the vamps. Embry said enthusiastically.

We're comming no need to get your panties in a bunch.

Shut up Quil!

You're the one who's starting it!

And I'm the one who's ending it! Now cool it the both of you! Jake shouted out.

We were then running in silence and we finally broke out of the woods and into the same clearing as before. We saw Jasper and Emmett beginning to fight so all of us stationed ourselves around them and watched. I couldn't help but notice that I was in-between Jake and Quil.

Not fair, I groaned quietly to myself.

What? They asked.

How I'm the one who always has to be protected.

Hey ask your boyfriend about that. He's the one who told me to stay on the otherside of you- Quil said pinning the blame on Jake.

It's just a precaution. I'm sure you can protect yourself when the time comes to it- Jake assured me. I narrowed my eyes at him and then turned back to the wrestling match that was going on.
