Attacked by the wolves

Attacked by the wolves

A single shiver of fear,

And I know the end is near.

I can feel the darkness coming,

The wolves are close, howling.

With a final teardrop,

I fall to my knees.

Wishing the pain would stop,

The pain nobody sees.

They bark louder and louder,

Enjoying every wound.

While I lie there in fear,

Unable to make a sound.

The attack will end soon,

They’re scared of the hunters who walk by.

With one last howl to the moon,

They leave me there to die.
