Chapter 32

(Nakaraan)

Napatingin ako kay Kent na naging tahimik simula pa kanina. Lumapit ako sa kanya. He welcomed me naman in his arms and let me sit on his lap. Niyakap nya ako. "What are you thinking?"

"I don't know, Tara. This business ay nasa pamilya na natin dati pa. Before it was merged, it was well taken care of. Just by the thought na posible itong mawala dahil sa kapabayaan ko.."

I cupped his face and look at him. "Hindi ito mawawala sa atin okay? For sure may mga napagdaanan na din tong mga ganitong issues before. We just need to think of a solution. Andito ako. Magtutulungan tayo."

"Pero--"

"Kent, enough already. We can make through this."

"I know. Pero hindi ko rin matanggal ang pag-aalala."

I caressed his cheeks. I smlied at him. "We can do this."

Tumango ito at ngumiti na rin. "Oo. Thank you."

Chapter 32

Tara's POV

"Here's the list." Inabot ko kay Kent ang isang folder ng mga potential client namin.

Bumuntong hininga ito. "This sucks."

Kaagad naman akong lumapit sa kanya and touched his face. "Problem? Are you okay? Kung gusto mo, ako nalang muna ang magtutuloy." Well, its been weeks. Hirap na hirap pa rin kami. Kahit tumigil na ang pagkalagas ng mga clients namin, hindi makakaila na malaking kawalan yun sa amin. And until now, we're finding ways para masolusyunan ito.

Kent suddenly wrapped his hands around my waist. "I want you."

Napatawa naman ako. "Seriously? Pagod ka lang."

"I know what I want." He cupped my face and instantly, his lips touched mine. It was a gentle kiss. Then he sighed and looked into my eyes. "Puro trabaho na lang tayo. Hmm, can we have a date?"

"Date? Pero ang dami pa nating kailangang tapusin."

He looked at our entwined fingers and then looked up again to meet my eyes. "You know, rest is not that bad. I need to spend some quality time with you to regain my energy. I'm really drained."

I chuckled. It's Saturday, hindi naman nga masama ang pahinga. I gave him a quick kiss. "Fine. Magaayos lang ako."

He smiled.

As soon we finished preparing, umalis na din kaagad kami. He's driving and I looked at him. Who would have thought na magiging ganito kami? Kahit ako, I didn't imagine that time will come na magiging okay kami, better than okay I guess because we are here, married, and happily loving each other. Napangiti ako.

Napatingin naman sa akin si Kent and he smiled too. "I love you."

I inhaled deeply and smiled back. "I love you more." Hinawakan ko ang isa nyang kamay. "So where are we going?"

He pulled my hand to his lips and kissed it. "Secret."

I faked a horrified face. "Oh no! Are you kidnapping me?"

He chuckled and winked. "Yes I am."

"I don't think I mind." I laughed.

Hindi nagtagal, nkarating din kami sa isang condo. I gave him a questionning look but he just shrugged and smiled. I was simply amazed by the architectural design of the building. Kahit sa labas pa lang, it was already elegant and suprisingly beautiful. Pumasok kami and the exterior never failed the interior. Wide and open lobby, luxurious furnitures. A total package.
