Her Boss's Baby

Jane pulled the covers back and slowly stood. She glanced at the whistle she was suppose to use when she needed help getting to the bathroom. But she could make it herself. Rain was somewhere in the house hanging pictures or something. She glanced towards the open closet door, her clothes hung on one side, his on the other. In the three weeks since they had moved to the house, he had packed up the things in her apartment and brought them to her. Most of the stuff was stacked in piles downstairs. Waiting for her to be able to sort through it. 

She stood moved two steps when she felt the warm liquid flow down her legs. She was about to call for Rain to help her when the first pain hit her. 

"Geez, Jane." Rain was behind her in a second. Pulling her into his arms. 

"It hurts." she gasped.

He noticed the water on the floor and her expression of pain. "Oh, no." he pulled his phone from his pocket. "Sylvia, her water broke and she's having labor pains."

"See you at the hospital." Sylvia said.

Rain stared down at his perfect baby daughters, where they slept in their bassinets. They were so beautiful, he couldn't take his eyes off them. 

One of them, they weren't named yet, the first born started to fuss. 

"Could you give her to me please?" Jane asked from the bed. "She's hungry." 

He carefully lifted the infant and laid her into her mothers arms. "We need to give them names." 

She smiled as her daughter latched onto her breast and began to suckle. "How about Kaylee." she said.

He lifted his other daughter. "And Emily?"  he suggested.

She smiled. "Perfect. Kaylee Ann and Emily Rose." 

Emily started fussing in his arms. "oh, looks like this one doesn't want to wait." 

Jane smiled, "This isn't going to be easy." she said. "I read in the book that I can nurse both at the same time, and the more I nurse the more I make." 

He helped her arrange a pillow next to her free side, as she opened that side of her gown, he lay Emily next to her. "Well, if it becomes to difficult then, I'll feed one with a bottle while you nurse the other, then we'll switch."  He stared transfixed at his daughters. He met Jane's eyes. "Thank you." he whispered.

She smiled. 'No, thank you." 

He leaned over to kiss her lips. "This isn't the right time for this." he said, "But i've been waiting for two months for the right time." he pulled a ring box from his pocket. "I've been carrying this around for two months." he met her shocked gaze. "I didn't want you to think I was doing this because of our daughters." she opened and closed her eyes like a fish, shocked speachless. "Jane, I love you. I...I..." he hesitated when he saw her crying. "Marry me." he said, "Marry me and be the mother of my children."

"I am the mother of your children." she whispered, holding up her left hand for him to slip the ring on.

"No I mean the other ones." He said.

"What other ones?" she asked.

He grinned, wickedly. "The ones we're gonna have fun making in two months."

And they lived happily ever after....the end.
