Clary's P.O.V

I watched as Karena and Derick walked into the building.

"I can't believe you are letting this Witch get away with this," Bethany says as my hands went to cover my face. I was in a state of shock; I am losing the one thing that I have with a hint of my mom in it.

"Give her a break," Chase said. I peeked through the cracks of my finger and saw Chase eying me. I smiled at the fact that he is always watching out for me. I know Bethany means well, but she sometimes comes off to strong with her opinions. Everyone went silent, but me, I cried.

"Clary-" I heard Chase start to say, I cut him off by getting out of the van. I walked down the street, knowing Chase was right behind me. "Where are you going?" He asked. I had a feeling where my feet where taking me, but I couldn't say it allowed.

"Just leave me alone Chase."

"I am not going to let you wonder around down town New York."

"I have lived here-"

"Just stop Clary!" I turned and saw Chase with a mad look on his face. I raised my hand.

"TAXI!" After a second on pulled to the curb, I got in, not surprised when Chase joined me.

"Where to?" The taxi driver asked.

"J.F.K airport." I stated, Chase and I were silent the whole way there, I was glad, until we got to the airport and in line for the fight...that's when Chase grabbed my hand.

"This is crazy Clary."

"I never asked you to join me; actually it would please me very much if you left." I yanked my hand from his grip.

"Why are we going to Memphis?" He asked as we boarded the plane. I sat down and shrugged my shoulders.

"When I lived in Memphis everything for the most part made sense. I mean besides the whole, is he my brother or not thing. I loved it there, and when I think of a place to raise a child, I am considering-"

"You're moving?" He asked with a shocked expression on his face.

"I am...considering."

"Clary, I think this is crazy, and you know it to...Why move to Memphis where you have not seen anyone in 5 years? Then just leave a place where you have a group that loves you and will help you with everything." I looked at him; his blue eyes stared at me with a hint of anger.

"Why are you angry you should be happy, I am going to face the world on my own-?"

"With a child-" He began to say, but I cut him off.

"Chase, this is not your choose, its mine, so leave me the fu-"

"Umm, excuse me the seat belt light is on, can you two please put on your seat belt.' The flight attendant cut me off; I nodded and buckled in for a long ride...

The whole plane ride there Chase and I did not speak a word nor look at each other. I mean, I was happy, because I did not want us arguing the whole way there...

Man, how I missed Memphis and its crazy drivers...

"These people drive like they're drunk!" Chase broke our long silence.

"That's Memphis for you!" I said in an excited voice. I was happy, really happy to be here again.

"Where are we going?" Chase asked. I turned on the music, not wanting to answer.

I pulled the red rental car across from the house I grew up in. As we sat there. I couldn't look at it, but in the corner of my eye I could see it had not changed. It was the same red brick house with a front pouch. I knew is as home.
