Sorry for the late update (it rhymes! yay, i'm a poet! lol)
this ch is mostly about memories, but i promise the nxt one will have more action. Enjoy :) AliceC Chapter six Looking through the past memories Denny's POV I hid behind the wall, wondering what Cathy meant when she said about playing with the water... something was wrong with these two... and strange things started happening with the weather after they appeared. I felt that had to find out what was going on... After Cathy left, I appeared facing Blake. He looked startled at first but soon enough composed his expression. "what did they say?" he asked. "Leslie apologized for being harsh on me. And well... they're happy we're fine. What did Cathy tell you?" I asked directly. "Nothing too important. I told her not to mess with Keat and Les..." he lied smoothly. Why did I read people so easily??? I could feel it with my nose that he was lying, but I didn't press him. I could investigate at first and then make the accusations. "How's your breathing?" he asked. God, it sounded so seductive his sweet care. Not even Keat asked about that, just about whether I'm hurt or not, burnt or not. "Better," I replied staring in his grey eyes. They were again that dim grey color, not the alive silver I thought I saw in the burning room. He stared back and extended his hand for me to take it. I don't know why I did it, I honestly didn't command my legs to take me to him, or my arms to wrap around his waist... but all the tension of the last thirty minutes was pushing hard on my chest and only in his arms I found peace. So I guess my body knew better what it needed. Besides, I didn't mind, I was aware that there was something in Blake that made m feel whole and home... I raised my face to him from his chest and smiled at him, "We had a tough afternoon, didn't we?" I said in a low voice. He smiled back, "we sure did." He then stroked my cheek with his thumb, leaving a burning trace where it touched me. I was wondering if it will be too much and too out of picture to kiss him again, because ei really felt the need to do that when he leaned closer and asked, "Will it be okay to kiss you?" I gave out a small chuckle. "I was thinking the same," I explained. Then I noticed that his palm was burnt. I immediately forgot about the kiss, "You got burnt, Blake!" I exclaimed examining his burn. He frowned a little. "It's fine. Really, Denise, it is fine. I had it worse." I looked at him, he was talking seriously and I had a feeling he actually did had it worse. And I wondered how bad... He brushed his lips lightly on mine, making me want more. I stood on my toes to get to his moving away lips, when I heard an 'Ahem'. I knew who it was with out having to turn my head. It was Cathy. She approached us and putting a arm on our shoulders she pushed us lightly. "Let's go, the idiot and the hottie are waiting for us." I felt like hitting her. I brushed her arm off me as Blake did in the same time. "Oh, don't be like that..." she said smiling. "we could get along just fine. I give up on you, Blakie boy and leave him to you, Denny, dear... but I still want Keat. Don't stand in my way and I'll spare your friend..." she said in a singing voice. Shivers went down my spine only thinking of what a viper she is. "You won't get Keat, Cathy. I'll stand in your way when it comes to those whom I love." I said in a calm voice not even looking at her, but taking Blake's hand and squeezing it. "We'll see..." she whispered, and I could say that she was sure I wasn't going to say a thing. She was wrong! Cathy walked ahead of us. "Talk to them today," Blake advised. I nodded. It didn't matter that it will hurt enormously if they won't believe me... I knew it will hurt more if they'll get hurt because I had no actual proof then my witness. Leslie smiled warmly to me but kept walking with my brother. I was glad that she didn't let Cathy stand between the two of them. We walked a few minutes when I began sweating really hard. I turned my eyes skywards and realized the clouds that were there minutes ago were now gone, and the sun was shining so bright that it hurt my eyes... and the that was like materializing... it was liquid, pouring from everywhere making it harder to breathe, harder to concentrate, like in hell. "Damnet... I'm so sick of it." Blake growled his nostrils flaring. He was piercing Cathy's back. She turned and gave him an evil grin and winked. I observed all that from behind my eyelashes, so they didn't know I was peeking.
