[PG-13] Parents Strongly Cautioned
Chapter 69
He coughed, blood dripping from the side of his mouth. He seemed completely unaware of what was happening to him. I stood up defensively, staring at him wide eyed. Jason tensed, along with Rail, they had something within they're sweater pocket, looking as though they were ready to pull it out. Blake held up his hand, in order for them to stop, and they relaxed, to an extent.
"I believe you two have already met," he said, looking at me intently. I creased my eyebrows, without answering him. He took in a deep breath. "It wasn't sheer luck that we found you," he said in a lower, more sadistic tone. My eyes went wide; I stared down at Eli, who lay nearly unconscious on the hard floor.
He didn't.
"What?" I stuttered out in a whisper. He raised his eyebrows, then creasing them.
"Of course, once you've found a weak spot in any person breaking them is only a matter of time," he smiled sadistically. I choked on my own breath, staring at Eli in disbelief.
He would never.
I glared at Blake, feeling something begin to arise in my chest. My eyes began to tingle; I completely forgot our little deal. He suddenly looked at me teasingly, smiling to himself.
"Wait?" he asked sarcastically. "You can't believe that we didn't have a little help, I mean you're a pretty difficult person to find," his eyes glanced down to Eli, then back up to me. I glared.
"You're lying!" I snapped, taking a step back. He smiled briskly, shaking his head. He walked over to me, taking several steps behind me, but I didn't find myself cautious around him. My eyes focused on Eli, coldly, terrified.
I felt Blake's lips at my ear, though he did not touch me as he spoke.
"Just think," he started. "I do believe he is the only person, to know where you were."
My mind clicked, in an instant my eyes flashed black in anger. Jason's eyes went wide as he took a step back, Rail tensed. Eli then, as strongly as he could manage, spoke.
"He's lying!" he snapped, coughing as spots of blood spurted on the cement. I focused on him, I felt Blake's smile disappear. I turned my face toward Blake, my eyes dark, my expression full of hate. He stood up straighter, walking around my other side. Following him mentally, he finally came within view.
"The line between the living and the dead is so very thin," he said sadistically, so that only I was able to hear it. I looked at Eli, almost at the brink of death, and instantly, I knew what Blake was talking about. I looked at him, without emotion. He raised an eyebrow in amusement.
"I want you to try something," he asked, walking back closer to me. Suddenly, Rail and Jason took the slightest step back, simultaneously, as if they knew what was going to happen. Blake did not glance at Eli, only at me. He blocked my view from Eli, my eyes still black, the taste in my mouth growing incredibly strong.
Jimmy wouldn't be gone...if it hadn't been for Eli or at least what Blake was succeedingly convincing me of. Blake smiled softly; my heart began to hurt as I felt small vibrations against my skin.
"You're capable of many things," he lightly caressed my figure with his eyes. His glance moved back to Eli for only a moment. "He can be so easily broken, if you apply the right pressure," he smiled a small crooked smile. Eli was too weak to raise his head. Blake took a step closer to me, his lips at my ear.
"I think you know where I'm getting at," he tempted. He slowly took a step back, my eyes immediately landing on Eli, everyone else seemed to disappear from the room. Anger flowed through my veins, disbelief, and broken trust.
I could feel it flowing off my skin, easily, every other figure disappearing around me. I didn't know what I was doing; I just let this thing inside of me control my anger. The moment I hinted that it brushed across Eli's skin, he cringed painfully.
"Ale-," he sputtered out, gripping at the cold hard floor beneath him. There was a terrible snapping noise, coming from within him, and suddenly, a mouth full of his blood was emptied beneath him onto the floor. He began gasping for air; my eyes went wide as I took an astonished step back.
I looked at Blake, who looked at Eli with a devil smile. I shook my head, trying to pull it back in, but it would not listen. There was another snapping noise, and Eli winced more painfully, crying out as the cement became doused in his blood, which flowed from his mouth. It began to ease off my skin more effortlessly; I didn't even have to try. Eli tried my name again, but it just followed with more blood.
