Hey everyone!
This is my first story and I hope you guys like it.
I actually uploaded this chapter before, but I felt that the story was a bit too rushed and too fragmented so I tweaked it a little and I hope you all like it.
Love,

Chapter 1
“Put these on.”
I quickly handed the smoky eyed model the silver strappy Jimmy Choos that completed her royal blue asymmetrical Gucci dress.
I looked at my last look for the day. The model was wearing the draped royal blue asymmetrical dress with black silky gloves that covered her from her fingers ‘til just the middle of her forearm. She looked sophisticated but a bit edgy because of her black and silver smoky eyes and her slicked back hair.
I can’t help but feel proud of my work, although it may be the simplest that I did for the day, I still felt pride in whatever I do. I loved my job.
The model then went to the set which was in the middle of an alleyway where there was a black Rolls Royce Phantom Coupe parked. Studio lights were surrounding the whole set. On the right side, the make-up artists were all wrapping up their equipment and loading them to the truck. The same was happening on the side, the assistants were all rolling the clothes back.
How did I become this lucky?
We were doing a fashion editorial for ICON magazine, and I was one of their fashion stylists. I did this part time while also at business school in NYU. See, I could have been easily an assistant, but I got the stylist job that easily. Well I guess my reputation back home did help. But my life wasn’t this perfect before.
I moved to the set and saw Paul flirting— I meant directing the model, holding her way to close to him while he positioned her legs so that it was propped on the car’s door.
I just rolled my eyes and let a little laugh out.
Paul’s a player, just like any other hot straight guy in the industry.
I don’t blame Paul for being a player though, that’s what you get for being one of the best fashion photographers in the industry.
Plus, he was good looking, like really good looking. He was about 6 feet tall and he was well built, but not in a yeah-I-carry-weights-twice-my-weight type of body, but he had defined muscles. He had deep hazel eyes and brown wavy hair. And those blue eyes, those really piercing blue eyes… I was actually drooling over him when I first met him.
“Essie, all you have to do is ask and we could go out and you could have me the whole night.” Paul said loudly.
Ugh.
I glared at Paul.
He actually tried hitting on me when my roommate Mia introduced us. She warned me that he was a player. She didn’t have to tell me, it was obvious. But when I got to know him more I learned that he was funny and really caring, so I just ignored his flirting and he became one of the first friends I had since I moved here.
I moved close to Paul wrapped my arms around his neck.
“But what about Britney over here?” I pouted like a kid. Britney gave us an amused look. Everyone who knew us knows about our love of torturing each other.
He smirked.
“Well babe, I think I’m enough for the both of you.” He said cockily.
Damn he’s good. I just shook my head and just let out a little annoyed laugh.
Paul went back to taking photographs of the model while I tried helping the assistants clear up the set. It was a nice evening and the breeze was just enough to make us cool despite all the moving and the hot lights. This is why I chose to move to New York. I loved the busy life I was always one of those people who can’t seem to stay put for five minutes.
My phone beeped and I quickly unlocked my phone to read the message.
I just got one from my friend Anna from school asking if I wanted to go check the new club. I quickly replied and apology telling her I was still at the shoot and I had a paper due.
Crap.
I still had that paper and so far it only had my name and the title. Crap. Crap. Crap.
They had to wrap this shoot up NOW or else I have to say hello to a venti white chocolate mocha latte from Starbucks to keep me awake for the whole night.
I’ll look like a freakin’ zombie again in class.
“Hey, do you still need me here or could I go? I have a paper due tomorrow.” I told Emanuelle, our artistic director.
