The guy suddenly shot up to his feet and grabbed my arm, turning me around and slamming me up against the wall which I hit with a thud. I ducked the punch he sent to my face, which then hit the wall leaving a nice big crack on it. I crouched onto the ground, sticking my leg out and twisting so that I knocked him off his feet and onto his back.
Before the girl could reach me I quickly flew at the boy, grabbing his head and snapping his neck with such pace she barely got halfway before he was no longer breathing.
The Chinese girl froze and stared at me with her eyes wide, then looked down at the guy on the floor like she was genuinely about to cry.
I resisted the urge to laugh and got to my feet, standing over his corpse as I look at her.
“Why the long face, did I just kill your boyfriend or something?” I asked trying to hold back a laugh.
Her eyes shot to me and I could see them turn a shade darker from the anger “You bitch!”
“I guess that’s a yes…” I muttered.
Suddenly, the girl pulled the knife out of the wall and looked at me, and to my utter shock she started twisting and doing all these moves with the knife in front of me, and do you know what she did?
She started doing martial arts.
Not at me, but just in front of me. You know like they do in movies where there is a standoff and the other guys starts doing like backflips and shit as if to intimidate the other person, showing them what they can do and how skilled they are?
Yeah, she was actually doing that in front of me. I didn’t know whether to pinch myself to check if I was dreaming, or roll on the floor and piss myself. She even made the little high pitched screams as she punched the air. For a brief second I thought she was having an orgasm.
I snorted “Someone has been watching wayyyyy too many Jackie Chan films.”
She stopped ripping off moves from possibly every single Bruce Lee film ever, and stood in front of me in some sort of ‘bring it’ position.
“You will pay for this.” She spat at me, and again I had to hold back laughter at the cheesy movie line.
I took a few breaths to stop the hysteria that was building inside of me and looked at her like I was deep in though.
“Okay, I’m sure I will, I mean after seeing those in depth martial arts moves I know I’m doomed.” I agreed, my tone sarcastic as I nodded as seriously as I could “Or I could just cut to the chase and shoot you like we do in England.”
I reached behind me and pulled out the gun from the waistband of my jeans, pointing it at her and pulling the trigger so fast she had no chance to dodge it, even with her badass martial arts skills.
She collapsed to the ground, and to my surprise she didn’t do it dramatically by holding her bullet wound and telling me to say sorry to her mother in Chinese.
I shook my head in amusement as her eyes suddenly lost their life. The poor girl, spent hours learning all of that shit to just get shot down before she even had a chance to do a karate chop on me.
That’s why you gotta love the basics.
My amusement was cut short as I suddenly heard a gun cock by my ear, and I froze on the spot.
I turned my head slowly and came face to face with the barrel of the gun Rob Dixon was pointing at me.
He had a smirk on his face as he realised he had me. I could make no move because I knew as soon as I did he would put a bullet in my skull without a hesitation.
“Looks like you got a little distracted there Faith.” His tone was cocky, and I knew this was his plan all along. Distract me long enough to have me by the balls.
“Looks like I did.” My voice was monotone, not showing him anything.
He was quiet for a while as he searched my face, looking for any fear “Lose the gun.”
I hesitated, again going through anything I could pull in order to get out of this position. I knew it was useless, Rob knew how to use a gun, and I knew he had me.
I flung the gun in my hand by the door, hearing it slam on the ground and probably slide into the next room. I didn’t take my eyes off his face; neither of us lost eye contact. It was like he was waiting for me to make a move, but he knew I couldn’t.
