Hide-and-go-Seek

I wait in the shadows as you pass by

You're searching for the place I chose to hide

You won't find me, I'm too sneaky for that

You look behind the hook that holds all our hats

I run past you while your back is turned

You look up, but too late! As you so unwillingly learn

I'm in a high place, looking down upon you

I giggle and laugh, as you dig through my shoes

You'll never find me! I so sneakishly grin

While you relentlessly dig through the dirty clothes bin

I hop down with a big grunting "Ugh!"

While you look up with a face that says "Huh?"

I quietly shift through the shadows and wait

For you to pass by, unknowingly late

I run to the place designated as base

And there's a look of surprise on my unknowing face

You have tricked me! I'm through! Now I'm the one that's 'It'

And you run away laughing, cackling a fit.
