Chapter Two:
Freedom
Fray's P.O.V.

I dig my claws into the wall again, Eli, Dmitri and Seth are doing it too, and in seconds we've shattered the barrier. Valemai and Athena jump out of the massive hole, followed by Dmitri and Seth, Eli looks at me questioningly and I nod - its time to get rid of Lewis.
I place a hand on Lewis's shoulder and he looks at me with a confused glint in his eye, also one of fear - I rarely pay attention to him. I flash my signature wicked grin and shove my right hand, claws and all, through his heart, though that doesn't kill him, I rip his heart out of his chest and he falls to the ground. His black Vampiric blood covers my whole forearm, his discarded heart and the gaping hole in his chest. I look emotionlessly down at Lewis, though his heart isn't even connected to his body, he's only now dying.
"Why?" he whispers, his last words.
I jump out the hole in the barrier, leaving his body, and join my coven.
"Lets go," I murmur, taking of at the speed of light, easy for a Vampire, with my coven right behind me. The barrier had opened up into a snowy mountain range. Its night and I can hear wolves howling in the distance.
"What now?" Athena asks quietly, as we run through the snow, going so fast that we barely touch the ground.
"We find out where the fuck we are," Dmitri responds. "I can hear traffic."
We head towards the sounds of cars, slowing to a walk. As expected, everyone in this little town stops and stares, I mean, it's a freaking snowfield and me, Eli, Dmitri and Seth are just wearing black pants, Valemai and Athena are wearing only thin pants and crop tops. We all have bare feet.
"We've been lost for days, looking for a town and finally found one," I whisper to my coven, not even moving my lips, none of the humans have a hope of hearing me.
"Are you guys alright?" a soft female voice says beside us.
"We got lost it the forest a... I don't even know how long we've been out there..." Athena murmurs. I see that Athena and Rose are making themselves shiver slightly, pretending to be cold, though the temperature doesn't bother us.
"Oh, you poor little dears, here now come with me and we can get you some warm clothes," the short women says beckoning us towards a small wooden house, quite a distance away from the town.
"I'm Kayla, this is my husband, Phil," the woman says once we're inside. "Our two sons, Brady and Mark, and our daughter, Lana."
I nod slightly, "I'm Fray, this is my family, Dmitri, Eli, Seth, Valemai and Athena."
Kayla motions for us to sit on the lounge and I see that Seth and Dmitri both look really pissed. Then it hits me - Brady and Mark are staring at Valemai and Athena - Sick pervs.
"Brady, Mark, can you go grab some clothes for the guys, Lana, get some clothes for the girls."
In about twenty minutes, we're all 'warm' in our new clothes and talking to Kayla and Phil.
"So, how did you get lost out here?" Phil asks with slightly narrowed eyes, I shook his hand earlier and know that he's suspicious of us, though I didn't have time to find out why, Phil withdrew his hand quite fast, all I managed to catch was: "These people are awfully familiar, they resemble the-". Frustrating.
"We were on guided tour, when our guide had been getting some firewood; then he was running back, followed by wolves. We climbed the trees, I don't know where the guide went," I say in a calm voice, I know Phil's trying to corner us.
"Where are we?" Athena inquires.
"Juneau, Alaska," Phil says, his eyes narrowing all the more.
"We really should be going," I say.
"Where are you going?" Brady asks, leaning on back of the sofa I'm sitting on.
"Japan," Valemai responds.
"Japan," Mark snorts. "Why would anyone want to go THERE?"
"Well, there are a few hot gals' there," Brady says, contemplating.
"Touché."
I stand up, "Thank you so much for all you help, we really appreciate it, but we'll be leaving now."
With that, I walk out the frond door, followed by my coven.
"Wait, what did you say your name was?" Phil asks, grabbing my wrist, to his disadvantage. My eyes narrow as I glare at him, hearing his thoughts.
