 She was running as fast as her little legs could carry. Her body was bruised through the thorns and twigs stuck between the dark woods. Something was chasing her but what? It had bronze hazel eyes sharper than blades. The coat of its body was an auburn colour.

Its paws were silently stepping towards her. Nothing but her shallow breathing could be heard.  Baring its teeth at her, it leaped forward until her bones were crushing inside her. She let out a whimper, her eyelids were closing slowly.

She felt the weight being removed from her body as she sunk to the damp floor. Her surrounding was unrecognisable; dark was surrounding her in every direction. A figure was lurking in the background, slowly approaching. The clouds parted, letting the sun seep through. The figure emerged until the image became clear.

There was a teenage boy standing with blood dripping down his arm. Their head leaned down, looking at the blood trickling down into a dark pool. Their black hair was silky and dark. Bright red blood was oozing out of the deep gash. They slowly lifted their head up with weak strength.

Tantalising, emerald green eyes…. Jayden…..What was he doing here? His eyes were full of sorrow; they seemed shattered like clear glass. A single tear dropped down his now pale cheeks. She reached out her hands to grab onto him, her fingers shaking slightly. A pained emotion was sketched on his face. Before she could touch him, he fell to the ground with pain travelling in his eyes.

She rushed forward, crouching on her knees, holding onto his warm hand. He entwined his fingers with hers while gazing into her eyes. His breath was faintly filling the air. He tenderly caressed her face, his eyes slowly closing. He took one last look at her and his grip loosened…

~*~*~*~*~Summer’s point of view~*~*~*~*~

I let out an ear piercing scream filling the empty house. Tears were trickling down my face, rapidly.  I realised I was clutching onto my pillow, tears melting into it. Loose strands were sticking to my cheeks. Tears were reaching to my lips, my tongue tasting salty water.

He has to be alright. My ribs felt like they were closing until I couldn’t breathe. My room seemed empty and ghostly, contrasting to the dark shadows. Through my blurry vision I caught sight of the clock. It read 7.40am.

I scurried out of my bed and headed towards the bathroom.  Fresh tears were forming in my eyes, my face a ghastly white. I lent my forehead against the mirror and tried to control my breathing. My breath was fogging up the clear window. I stripped out of my clothes, numbingly. My fingers were the only movement of my body. My heart remained stiff but was pounding furiously. I stepped into the cold shower, sending chills down my spine.

I couldn’t stand the thought of Jayden leaving me. Even though it was a dream, my heart felt crushed and broken. I have only known him for a day and he is already affecting me and my heart. What is he doing to me?

I quickly got dressed into a pair of dark blue skinny jeans with a crimson red sweater. I missed breakfast, my appetite long gone. I said goodbye to mum and Jake who was splayed across the sofa. How does he manage to have muscles but still is a lazy ass. I slowly carried me body to school.

Me and Emily walked side by side in total silence, both of us stuck in our own thoughts. The cold wind ran past us, shivering from the temperature. In the distance I saw a silver Porsche halting to a stop in the parking lot. Jayden stepped out of it and looked around until his eyes fell on me. He had on dull blue jeans with a white sweater with dark designs printed on the bottom corner.

 His face held a smirk but soon disappeared as he saw the frown forming on my face. My mind told me to go and the next thing I knew, I ran after him. His emotions told me he was shocked but worried as he descended towards me. I threw my arms around his waist and held on to him tightly.
