It's Thursday afternoon and the guys have been at our house for 4 days now. At one point they all went home, but just to get more clothes. Hallie just comes during the day and stays every other night, because her parents don't want her away from home for that long. Me on the other hand am stuck with Kyle and Greg's constant bickering. Now because they don't like each other so much they just fight about random crap that doesn't even matter. For example they fought about what's better, peanut butter on top or bottom of the jelly in a PB & J sandwich! How stupid is that? It's annoying the crap out of me and just makes me mad at them both!!!
Right now I'm reading a book on the back patio while all the guys are in hunter's room playing some stupid game that makes it so when you talk to them only about 20% of what you say goes through.
I bet you if I went up there and whispered, "Hey want to make out?" In Kyle or Greg's ear, they would just say okay and wave me away. Pa-the-tic!!!
I sat there still reading. I was wearing a bathing suit with jean shorts over my bottoms.
I got to page 56 when all of the sudden there was a shadow covering the sun. I looked up and it was Aiden. What?
"Um...Hey. What's up?" I asked.
"I need your opinion."
"On what?"
"I want to take Hallie out but I don't know where to go." He said. I smiled.
"Aw!!! How sweet!"
"So you'll help me?"
"Of course!!! Here sit down!" He sat down in the lounge chair next to me.
"Alright well did you have anything in mind?"
"Um.... Well what about the movies?"
"This is your first date right?"
"Yes..."
"Then you can do movies but you have to do something else that's original." I know this because my older brother has been on a lot of dates and I've talked to the nicer girls and I can always tell how the date went. I've come to realize when hunter puts more thought into it and does more and makes it original the relationship lasts longer and the girl is in a better mood.
"Alright well what do you suggest?"
"Well maybe you can take her on a nice picnic? She likes things like that. Or maybe....Oh! I know! The fair is coming into town tomorrow! Take her to that!"
"You know that's now a bad idea." He was thinking about it for a second. "Thanks Vi! I'm going to go ask her out, where does she live?"
"Here's her address." I quickly scribbled it onto a slip of paper, and handed it to him.
"Awesome! I'll be right back."
"Take your time! Both her parents are at work right now!" He laughed as he walked out the door.
I went back to my reading/tanning when the sun was blocked again. I looked up. My mom?
"Hi mom. Can I help you?" I said smiling.
She went and sat next to me on the other lounge chair. "I wanted to talk to you about all your brother's friends." Oh no...
"I was wondering if you could let your brother know that we like that he has such great friends, but they have to leave at some point." Oh! Good! I thought she was going to talk to me about not dating my brother's friends or something else that I wasn't going to listen to.
"Oh. Okay. Now why can't you tell him?"
"Because it's just easier if you do because I have to leave..." She looked at her watch, "Right now. Bye sweetie!" She said running back into the house and out the front door. I put a book mark in and went into the house and found my way up to hunter's room.
I knocked once..... no answer.
I knocked again..... still no answer.
One more time..... no answer! What the hell! I burst thru the door.
"Hey! Would you guys quit geeking out for one second? I have to tell you something!"
Kyle and greg stopped and turned around, but hunter and Caleb were not as quick to stop.
"Alright anyone who is not my brother has to leave." They looked confused. "My mom likes that you guys are having fun, but you've been here for what? 4 days? I don't know. But you have to go."
"Damn. I guess we can go to your house Kyle."
"Yeah my parents are gone for the weekend." O my gosh! They're just going to do the same thing over there! Boys are so annoying! "Wait! We can't at my house!"
"Why?" All the guys asked.
"My sister is home from college for a couple days and she's a huge tattle tale."
"Fine." My brother said. "Um.... Anyone else's house we can go to?"
"I think we can go to mine." Greg piped up. "My mom should be okay with it. She likes it when I have people over. It gives her an excuse to cook." He said smiling.
"Alright that sounds good." Aiden said.
