He Was Their Friend! {Editing}

"The boys are already here?" I asked as we were pulling into the drive way as another car was already parked.

"They've been here since 10:00 this morning." Grandma said.

  "Oh." I said.

  "Something wrong?" She asked.

"Oh no, I was just hoping to spend a little time with you before they got here." I said.

"Well I'm not forcing you to hang with them... you can do whatever you please." Grandma said.

  "Okay." I said.

We both opened our doors and got out. It seemed a little warmer this time, I think if it's gets any hotter I'm just going to stay inside with the A.C. on. I rolled the door back and grabbed my bag through it over my shoulder and rolled the door shut again.  I walked up Grandma's driveway which was shorter than mine to her white house with black shutters.

I would say Grandma's house was normal. It had a upstairs and downstairs.Thing I hate about it here is that it has one bathroom. I opened the front door and the smell of vanilla filled my nose. Grandma's house always smelt like vanilla there hasn't been a time that I've came here and it hasn't. Grandma filed in right behind me.

"You can put your bag in the your extra room." Grandma said as she pointed upstairs.

Grandma had 2 extra rooms, both upstairs. One which I call it mine because it's usually the room I use when I'm here. The other one extra room was usually always empty. No-one ever used it so Grandma used it for storage. Like a huge closet. It just had random junk in it.

I walked up the stairs and started wondering where the boys were. I walked slowly down the hall to my room. It was the 2nd door on the left.

I plopped my bag down on the floor and jumped on the bed. I looked out the window and saw Cody and Nathan in the pool. I smiled. This window has the best view of the pool. The pool was in-ground and was 8ft deep. I loved the pool. I only swim when I really have too. Other than that I just float.

I went back downstairs and saw Grandma in the kitchen.

  "Whatcha' makin'?" I asked.

"Lunch." She said as she turned on the sink.

"What are we having?" I asked.

"Baked chicken and salad." She replied as she scrubbed her hands.

"Need any help?" I asked as I took the stool on the breakfast bar.

"I think I got it under control." She said. "Why don't you go chill with the boys?"

"Um...okay..." I sat there for a moment then got out of the stool and made my way towards the patio. I stopped at the sliding glass door. I took a breathe and slid it open. The warm air bounced against my face. I inhaled the fresh air and stepped onto the patio.

  "Megan!" Cody yelled.

I looked at the deep end of the pool where Cody was. Nathan was in the pool too. Nathan pushed Cody down under. I laughed. Cody came back up gasping for air.

"Not funny dude!" Cody said to Nathan.

"That's why she's laughing right?" Nathan said pointing to me.

  "Shut up." Cody said.

I watched them for a few minutes more until Cody said, "Are you going to come in?"

  "I don't know..." I said.

I wasn't sure if I wanted to go in. I mean it's hot out yeah! But, I don't know it's hard to explain.

  "Come on!" Cody yelled.

  "No!" I yelled.

Cody swam to the ladder and got out. He was skinny. Period. He had a semi four pack. It was firm all out but you could see it when he bent over. Cody grabbed his towel out of the lounging chair and came walking towards me. He was wrapped in his towel and his hair ws soaked. He looked funny...

He opened his towel and wrapped his arms around me into a soaking wet hug.

  "Oh my god..." I said.

  "Feels nice right?" He said.

I'm not going to lie it did...

  "Yeah." I said.

"Come in!" He said and wrapped back into his towel.

"Fine.." I said. "I'll be right back."

  "Ok.": He said.

I walked into the house past Grandma who was just putting the raw chicken into the oven.I went to the bathroom and peeled my sun dress off. I grabbed a towel from the shelf and headed back out to the patio. I walked pass Grandma who was staring in aw about something. I'm not sure what though. I stepped out onto the patio and threw my towel on the lounge chair nearest to me. Cody got back in the pool and you could see his wet foot prints from where he walked.
