Ok guys this is a story im still writing. i posted it so nana wouldnt keep nagging at me. haha just kidding. leave me comments and tell me what you think! hope you guys like it!
As I walked near the woods at night, I asked myself how did I get here? I turned around trying to find my way home. Was I lost? I decided to take a shortcut and go through the woods, not knowing entirely what made me do it. My eyes were adjusting to the darkness as I felt my wat through the forest. All I could hear was the crunching of the leaves under my feet. I stopped and leaned against a tree to calm my panting down to regular breathing.
Crunch crunch crunch
My whole body froze at sound of the noise. My mind was trying to wrap around the fact that it was probably just as animal.
Crunch crunch crunch
It was getting closer, but as listened to the sound of the crunching leaves I realized these footsteps were to heavy to belong to a normal animal. I turned around and immediately looked down, I didn't want to face whatever it was that was coming. I could tell it wasn't more than ten feet away and I was able to tell apart its massive, darker shadow from the rest of the darkness. Icould see from its shadow that it snapped open its mouth. As I finally looked up, it let out the most menacing growl I'd ever heard.
"NO!" I cried wrenching upright out of my bed.
I wrestled with the sheets trying to get free. I struggled to reach the nightstand. I flipped on the lamp and picked up the clock. It was four-thirty in the morning. Oh great. Damn nightmares ruining a goodnights sleep.
I groaned, fell back on the bed, and rolled over on to my stomach. I pulled the sheets over my head trying to go back to sleep, but it was no use I was to frighten to get anywhere near sleep.
So, I layed on my bed trying to avoid the vivid dream, but the dark images kept forcing their way through my determination. I let my mind wonder over the dream so i could get it out of my system, though I'll probably never forget it.
When I was longer as afraid as before, I yanked the blanket off, and looked at the clock. About an hour had passed by. I needed a bath to relax my riggid body.
I walked to my bathroom and locked the door. I filled the tub with warm water and got in. I let my body soak in the water for what seemed like a long time. After I was done I grabbed a towel from the rack and wrapped it under my arms.
I tip-toed back to my room and got ready for school (yes school).
I opened the closet and grabbed my black skinny jeans, my black and red stripped spagetti strap, and my black converse. I set my clothes on the bedd and walked over to the mirror and combed through the wet tangles in my hair.
After I was done, I put on my clothes and went down stairs.
I went to the kitchen and opened the pantry. Mmm, Poptarts! I grabbed two packages, picked up my backpack from the chair and left the house.
As I was walking across the lawn, I opened one of the poptarts and took a bite.
"Hey! Are one of those for me?"
I stopped with a piece of poptart in my mouth, smiled, turned around and said, "You wish!"
"Is that anyway to treat your best friend?"
"Oh! How sweet! You were thinking it was you!" I said.
"Ouch! That hurts Alex, that really hurts!"
"Haha. You know I was playing. You're the awesomest best friend ever, Tombs!" I exlaimed.
"That's what I thought. Now give me a hug."
I hugged him and as i pulled away he snatched the other pack of poptarts. "You know you just stole your own poptarts, right?"
"I know. Haha. So, that like my perminate name now?"
"Yes, you never seemed to mind before. Does it bother you now?"
"No, I was just asking a question. Jeeze can't even ask a question anymore?"
"No you can't!" I said trying to act angry.Didnt work.
We both started laughing as we walked to school.
I started calling him Tombs when we were around ten years old, because he would get into these really bad arguements with his parents he would go to the local cemetary and sit near the tombstones. I would hear him slamming the door and storming out because he was my neighbor.I would follow him to see if he was ok. I'd sit with him until he was ready to go back home.Tombs had been there for me when my mom had left my dad and me. We'd been friends since we where five.
Tombs was a tall sorta muscular buy with shaggy, dirty blonde hair, and light blue eyes. He was anything but average looking. Girls where constantly after him, but he would always say he didnt like the type that where usually after him. Which usually were the "popular" mean girls.
