South Texas Sunset Prologue

I could hear the whisper of the wind ,as it blew through the branches of the mesquite trees. I could feel the warmth of that summer sun against my freckles face,as i looked at the bright,and wonderful colors of the South Texas sunset . Pinks,blues,oranges,and purples all swirled together like water colors around the setting sun. As the night starts to fade in,and the stars come out of their hiding places to chat with the moon. It's so beautiful ,magical,home. Really I never left this beautiful place,someone else just took over my life . This lovesick,co-dependent,stupid girl,who could only breathe if her fiancee told her to. This girl I hated,who I swore I would never become,the girl who is so miserable,that she couldn't even let go of the person who was making her unhappy, for fear that she would suffocate and die . Stupid girl,how could I have let this happen? I should have known better . Now as I sit here,on my rooftop,watching that beautiful sunset,I had always loved so much,remembering all the beauty of this place I call home . I have found myself again,the real me,while staring at that South Texas sunset .
