CHAPTER 5: Should I?
Kirsty's POV I had just finished the song I had written last night about the mystery Greek God that was in my class yesterday when a loud crash sounded in the far left corner. Was someone there? Oh, crap. Had they been watching me singing. No one, I mean no one, has ever heard my songs. "Hello? Is someone there?" I called, hoping that it was nothing. But to my complete and utter surprise, out walks the inspiration to my new song. Oh My God. "Ah, hi." He said. I couldn't say anything. I just kept staring into those gorgeous sea blue eyes. I finally snapped out of it and my eyes found my shoes instantly. No way had this guy, the same guy I couldn't stop thinking about all of last night, just heard me playing and singing. How humiliating.. "Um, hey" I said blushing furiously. "W-what are you doing here?" He seemed to mull this over for a minute before he said in a secretive voice "I've never told anyone this, but I guess you probably deserve an explanation after me listening in on your song. You can't tell anyone, okay? It would kill my rep of being the schools delinquent" I nodded, honestly curious. "I play guitar and make my own songs. You kind of busted me in here." He finished. That is so cool! The bad-boy has a sensitive side. Could I be anymore attracted to this stranger? I hardly know him, but all I can think about is his blue eyes and red lips. I was still looking at my feet, blushing like mad. "My name is Tyler by the way, but you can call me Ty." He said, with his hand out stretched to shake mine. Bbbrrriiinnnggggg. The bell suddenly went off. And being the shy, self-conscious, and embarrassed girl that I am - I ignored his hand, quickly picked up my guitar and made towards the door. "Wait!" I paused in my escape and looked over my shoulder towards Ty. He was looking sort of frantic and slightly upset. "At least tell me your name." It couldn't hurt right? "Um, it's Kirsty." I replied and made my getaway. *** The day passed in a blur because all I could think about was Ty. I was a nervous wreck on my way to final class, where I would see him again. Would he just ignore me again or would he try to talk to me? I found the class and took my normal seat. My new friends were trying to talk to me but I was too anxious about seeing Ty soon that I wasn't really paying attention. Just as the warning bell went off, the door opened again and in came the too-beautiful boy. He looked around the class as if looking for someone and because I was still looking at him like an idiot, he locked eyes with me. Midnight blue eyes. Mmmm. AH, look down, look down! I could feel the heat rush to my cheeks just thinking about what happened this morning and now being caught checking him out. The chair to my right scraped as he sat down, but I still wasn't looking up, but instead I continued to draw in my sketchbook. "You're a really good artist." I heard a sexy, husky voice say. "Is that a raven?" "Um, y-yeah. Thanks. I saw a raven on my balcony this morning and couldn't resist sketching it." I said looking up at Ty. "Well, you've got serious talent. Not only guitar and singing, but art too? Where do you learn it all from?" He asked. Ouch. Touchy topic. Looking down again to hide the pain in my eyes I said quietly "My Dad." "Oh, cool. You must be close." "Yeah, we used to be really close." I replied, keeping in the tears that always threaten to spill when I think about my dad. "Used to?" He asked, confused. "He died. 10 months ago." I said simply, when really I was in an emotional tornado inside. "Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to make you upset." He sounded really guilty, so I looked up into his gorgeous eyes and gave him a weak smile. "It's okay. It's just that it's still pretty raw. But you didn't even know so it's fine." I don't really know why exactly I told Tyler about my father. It's not like I couldn't have just dodged the question or lied, but I felt as if I could trust him. Something about him made me feel safe. We talked a little throughout the lesson, but not overly. It's kind of hard with a teacher like ours. Seriously, he needs to get laid or something and stop yelling down our throats. Ty was glancing at me now and then and the only reason I knew this was because I would be peeking at him constantly too. BRRRIIINGGGG . Yay, lunch time. I picked up my stuff and was about to go out when I felt a calloused but still soft hand on my shoulder. I turned around and faced Tyler. "Yeah?" I asked, confused. He looked kind of awkward. Aww, how cute. "Well, um... I was just wondering, if you weren't doing anything...well only if you wanted to, if you wouldn't mind... goinnowtwifmefrinigh?" o.O huh? "Sorry, I didn't catch that. What did you say?" Was he blushing? He's Mr.Tuffguy, what the hell? "Well, I wanted to know if you wanted to go out with me this Friday night?" He said. Oh Em Ge. I swear my heart stopped. I just met him today and he's asking me out? "Umm..." I said hesitating. Should I?
