He watched in silence, atop the damp, worn rooftop of the abandon warehouse.
He held his breath, and kept to the shadows. The vile creature was moving in on the girl. She was drunk, he could tell by the waft of alcohol drifting through the air.
She was an easy target. Too easy.
The creature moved in ever so slowly. If it weren't for the nature of the environment, one would think they were a couple on a midnight stroll. But he could tell the creature has other plans for her.
He debated whether to act now, but he hesitated. No, he thought to himself, he must act at the last possible moment. The element of surprise is key. He cannot risk being seen by the monstrosity.
The creature by now, have elongated those razor sharp canines, ready for his destined snack for the night. His eyes were literally glowing red with lust and hunger, his hands trembled at the sight and smell of her prey. He was holding his self back, to increase his appetite.
On the rooftop, sweat flowed down his forehead as the scene played out before him. The creature was at a decent distance from the girl, but when he blinked, he could not help but gasp as the creature had the girl pinned up against the brick wall of the alley.
He bit his lips as he suppressed the impulse to act. You can't be seen, he whispered to himself.
Suddenly, a loud piercing scream, ripped through the night. It is time.
With such poise, he dashed across the small distance and jumped off the edge of the building. It only took him only seconds, before he swooped down on the creature.
It hit the wall with a crack, and fell on his knees in pain. He didn't hesitate and before the creature could raise its head, he already had the pure silver stake lunge into its heart.
What was supposed to be a body in front of him, turned into a cloud of dust. He sighed and continued to wipe off the sweat that was now pouring from his forehead. This was the first time he ever killed and somehow, it felt great.
He snapped out of his thoughts as he remembered the girl. He turned around, to see her, staring wide eye, hugging herself in a corner, shaking. He could see it in her eyes, the confusion, the fear, and the shock.
He went over to her, but she shied away from him, as he reached his hand out to her.
"Do not fear me. I will not hurt you." He said, giving her a calm smile.
She still refused to budge and kept staring pass his shoulders. He knew now what was scaring her.
Noticing the fact, he quickly, retracts them, until they hid behind his back. That took him several years to master given the size of each wing, which is enough to fill a small room.
In all her life, Cara never thought she would go crazy. Yes, she was rather convinced she was but, the person, or whatever he was with these huge white angelic wings. Was he an angel? Clearly not, by the way he mercilessly killed the guy who tried to attack her earlier.
Good Lord of Pisa, what have she got herself into.
"Are you okay?" his voice which sounded like wind chimes made her look up at him. Damn, this man is FINE. She mentally thought but smacked herself for drooling over some guy whom she just witnessed killing a man.
But how could she not with his radiant blue eyes, dark brunnette hair and not to mention his abs, oh how she noticed his abs bulging from underneath his tight shirt.
She nodded and helped herself up her feet.
Her heart almost stopped when he lifted her head up to meet his. "Are you sure?" he asked again, worry in his voice. She stuttered like an idiot as his touch overwhelmed her. "Y-yes, don't worry."
He nodded and started backing off.
With little effort, she stared in awe as he spread out his magnificent wings, ready to take off. They were stunning, pure white and majestic in every sense of the word.
"Stay safe." He said to her.
Before he took off, Cara couldn't help but ask. "Are you my guardian angel?"
He looked at her straight in the eye. "I am everyone's guardian angel, my dear?"
With that, he took off, leaving a wake of dust. She stared after him, as she saw him disappear into the night. She finally lost it, dropping to the ground, sobbing profusely and even silently praying. "I'm crazy, or drunk. Holy shit that did not just happen." She yelled at herself but she knew HE was all too real.
