~Raven’s POV~

~Timeskip~

Someone shook my bare shoulder with callused fingers. The first thought that ran through my head was. Dad? but when my eyes opened revealing someone with hair I knew better. My father was a bald man :p.  I shake my head sitting up winching the pain from training was a lot more than usual. My lungs felt restricted to only being able to breath in so much air. I was now worried that I was getting something like a cold or flu. I shake it off as I finally get dressed into a bikini and a summer slip dress. I smiled as I pulled my goggles out attaching them to my swimsuit as I pulled the shorts up. I step outside around 8:30 my friends were already putting sunscreen and other products on their skin. I feel a little out of place because almost all of my friends have a nice tan and here I am still snow white. I knew I was going to bake like a chip in the sun.

I pack sunscreen into my shorts and make sure to leave my cellphone on the houseboat. I gave Mr. and Mrs. Uchiha the keys to the old boat incase they wanted to get away from the chaos that would surely happen in a few minutes. They passed them down saying they’d hold the fort at the houseboat. I thanked them as I buckled my life jacket over my bikini top. I had not put on sunscreen quite yet, I throw a life jacket at Itachi who was already in his swimming trunks. I wait on the water ski for him as he was clueless on the lifevest. I huff softly as I get up and help him tighten the straps to his chest as I buckled them snuggly. I then told him how to hold on as I turned the water ski on. The little water spout shot out a long stream as I geared it out of the plastic holding.

He was unsure but his tight became restricting when I swirled away from the house boat with enough speed to send a passenger flying. Of course I had to max out the speed to catch up with the others. The wind sent our hair flying behind us I had my tucked underneath the lifejacket like always. I was planning to have Caleb slice it off like my father would when I said I was ready to cut my hair. Father would take his hunting knife and bring it up to my shoulders cutting my long hair off. Sure it would only take it a year for it to grow back to its present length. I slow down a little when we hit the first wake of another speed boat. It still launched us airborne. I laugh as we collided back into the water safe and sound. I rammed the engine again finally reaching Sheila’s yachts wake.  It looked like two giant waves that spread past the large luxury boat. Kisame appeared beside us startling me, I yelped softly as I loose a little bit of control of the water ski but I rein it back under my fingers.

I didn’t dare slow down but I was rather impressed that his shark form could keep up with a water ski that was easily going 115.87km, if I converted right thats the same as 72 mph. I shift a little leaning over past the wake. I could see Caleb and Andy on a different speed boat and Carmen on the other water ski. I guess the others were on A the speed boat, or B the yacht. Anywho it didn’t bug me as long as we all made it to the jumping cliff. It was a place that was popular for kids to go and hang out jumping off the cliff into the water below. Though I disliked jumping from heights since I had irrational fear of heights in general. I was a decent swimmer not the best. My fastest stroke was butterfly in high school. But I don’t swim competitive anymore. Unlike my cousin who will be at the cliff, with his meanie bag friends. I roll my eyes to one side when I see his parent’s boat him at the wheel and his buddies goofing off.

I felt Itachi loosen his grip when I started to slow down greatly as we reached the new no wake zone. The water was higher this year than the years before so we had to be careful not to get trees stuck in the props, of the bigger boats. Even if there were two ways in getting into the large cove. with the mountain cliff jetting out in the middle of the large cove. one side was steeply and then the other was a complete drop off.

“HEY RAVEN What are you UP to now smooching off your rich friends?!” My cousin yelled at me angrily.

A deep growl emits from the pits of my stomach as I pass him with a slower speed I hit the brake and turned to face him as I continued to drift.
