Jaspers pov

Jealously such a strange emotion, it bites like venom in the blood. soon it consumes all in sight poisoning everything that you thought was pure.

Elric stood before me fangs barred, for the world to see.
i kept my face sombre expressionless save only for the fury that burned in my eyes. My breathing was harsh and shallow.
How easy would it be to end this vermins life? A hundred scenarios played through my mind, each more satisfying than the last.

"lets finish this" Elric growled, his eyes were wild with excitment.

"i came to talk not to fight" i said between clenched teeth.

Elric eyed me suspiscously for a moment his fangs retracting.

"so talk" he growled, his hands still clenched. I had to admire the vampire i thought grudlingly he was fearless.

"Not here" i said eyeing the door meaningfully, raph was no doubt using his keen sense of hearing to eavsdrop on our conversation.
Elric nodded gravely once and allowed me to lead him in to the empty banquet hall.

I swallowed my mounting fury and kept my breathing deep and even. at least no once could say i wasnt a man of my word i thought with a slight smirk.


Lothoses pov

So we meet again my darling.

I smiled with vindictive satisfaction. hiding below the infirmarys window i saw vengance in my grasp. soon aragon would meet its demise. There beloved prince would watch his princess fall.

Nivarna crooned its sweet lullably calling for the death of its next victim. Ahh yes revenge it really was the sweetest cure, for a black heart.


Wests pov

I rested my head lightly against raphs shoulder.
Mylee rubbed soothing circles in my lower back, it seemed the tension from yesterdays events was finaly catching up with me.

Outside i heard a soft keening cry. i shivered in response. the sound reminding me faintly of nivarnas blade as it found its next victim
i really must be delusional i thought with a wry shake of my head.

"is it wise to leave them alone?" Dr drake asked his tone amused.

"probably not" raph shrugged. i glared at him through narrowed eyes.

"wests got an admirer" Raph cooed in a high pitched voice, i raised my eyebrow and snorted under my breath boys were so childish.

"leave her alone" Mylee said exasperated swatting my brother around the side of his head.

"Owww" he whined pouting childishly.

I stuck my tongue out playing along.

"its about time jasper had some healthy competiton" she said winking at me. Her blonde hair falling in perfect golden waves around her slender frame. I felt a familar stab of jealousy.
i smiled wrly to myself somethings never change.

"its not like that" i said blushing a deep crimson.

Dr drake chuckled leaving the infirmary muttering about young love under his breath. i rolled my eyes, they were all deluded.

"he saved my life thats all"i said defensively, my hackles rising, the room suddenly grew a few degrees hotter raph grimaced in response a cool breeze drifted from the open window, soothing our heated cheeks. i shot him a gratefull glance my own cheeks still flaming at my mishap. i shouldnt have bee so defensive it would only give them ideas.

"Oh really so whats he still doing here?" Mylee said slyly continuing our earlier strand of conversation. i groaned burying my head in raphs shoulder.
Raph chuckled, his breath tickling the back of my neck. i breathed in his woodsy scent, the scent both familar and soothing.

"hes just protective" came my muffled reply.

"Sure and im just sweet and misunderstood" mylee shot me a sickeningly sweet smile.

I groaned.

GET your GIRLFRIEND of my case!! i mentaly flung at raph, his eyebrows raised accpeting the familar flood of mental conversation as our minds connected.

Fiancee actauly, he corrected casually.

OH MY GOD.... i thought my inner voice a mental shout. beside me raph winced in pain.

sorry i whispered. still in shock. Im getting a sister. wow.

and im getting a little neice or nephew raph commented dryly.

my eyes brimmed with crystal tears, our little broken family was healed.

Mylee watched our silent exchange with mild interest.

"anything you care to share?" she asked her eyes brows raised in mock hurt. her perfect lips were pursed as if fighting back a grin.

"sorry love" Raph grinned sheepishly.

I sat there silently my eyes still brimming with tears.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" mylee asked suspiscously glaring at her finacee.

"Congradulations" i screamed lauching myself at mylee we fell to the ground collapsing in giggles.
