I realised that I was early when I walked into History. Sitting down in my seat, I smiled at Cameron.
“Hello beautiful,” he said with a smile.
“Hello handsome,” I said naturally.
“How’s Training?” he asked.
“It’s good. I think I’ve mastered it,” I said proudly. “I still faint sometimes but I recover quicker than before.”
“That’s good,” he said. “Listen, are you busy tonight?”
“No,” I answered slowly, not sure where this was leading.
“Great, there’s new movie called ‘Never Again’. Do you wanna come and see it with me?” he asked hopefully.
Was he asking me out? I bit my bottom lip. “Like a... date?” I questioned.
He nodded.
“Oh Cameron, I really don’t think-”
“Please Skye?” he asked. “One date. If you don’t like it, I won’t ask again.”
“Erm…”
“Come on Skye, please?” he pleaded.
I sighed. “Okay.”
He grinned. “Great. I’ll meet you in the courtyard at 7pm.”

I was in Training practicing to shield to different things at the same time. I managed to do it after about 50 tries.
“What’s the time?” I asked them.
“Twenty past six,” Kyle answered.
I gasped. We had run overtime. “Crap, I have to go,” I said running to my bag.
“Why are you in such a rush?” River asked.
“I have a date and I need to get ready,” I answered simply.
“You’re going on a date?” Sam asked in shock.
“Yeah, why do you sound so surprised?”
“I don’t know,” he answered. “I guess I didn’t pin you as the type of girl who goes on dates.”
“I don’t usually but Cameron asked me and I guess I couldn’t say no,” I explained.
“Why don’t you go on a date with me?” Liam whined.
I laughed. “You never asked,” I told him.
“What?!” he exclaimed. “So if I had asked first, you would’ve said yes?”
“Maybe,” I said with a smile. “I have to go. I’ll see you on Monday.” Then I ran out the gym and headed to my room.
When I opened the door, I saw Leanne with two bags of snacks on the floor next to her.
“Skye!” she gave me a big hug. “I thought we could have a little party and catch up.”
“Oh,” I said softly. “Leanne I’m sorry, I have a date.”
She screamed. “Oh my God, with who?” she looked like a Cheshire cat.
“My friend Cameron.”
“Oh, I remember you telling me about him,” she said nodding.
“I have to get ready.” I dropped my things on the bed.
“Don’t worry, I’ll help,” she said. “Where are you going and what time are you meeting him?”
“The movies. 7pm.”
