The Wind Blows chapter 5

Melody's POV:

When class ended, I grabbed my backpack and headed out to the music room. The music room was where they held choir, band, and jazz band classes. Me and my friend hung out there during lunch, seeing as we both didn't eat lunch at school, and fooled around until lunch was over. Emma and I were suck-ups to the jazz band teacher, so he let us in here and only us whenever we felt like it.
The first thing I did was meet up with Emma at the flagpole. She was already standing there when I reached it. The storm had passed over, and it was safe... for now. We headed over to the music room, and when we got there, we made sure to close the door and lock it, in case we got caught. The teacher hadn't told anyone about us in here at lunch, and as far as anyone could tell, we were breaking in. We didn't risk being caught.
I dropped my bag and walked over to the Baby Grand Piano backed up into the corner of the room. I could play the piano really well, but I only played songs I liked; none of that stupid classical stuff. I had just recently learned how to play The Office theme song, and after trying to figure out where each key was on this piano, I played it all the way through. Emma had picked up her trombone from it's case, and was playing the Pink Panther. I laughed silently, and started playing The Entertainer. Even if I didn't like classical types of music, I loved playing ragtime. It was so bouncy and fun.
After I played the only part I knew, I walked over to someone's bass guitar and picked it up. The main bass line for a few songs came to mind, and Emma recognized each of them. The reason I had chosen Emma as my best friend was because we liked most of the same music; at lunchtime once, before we even knew each other, I heard her talk about the Hit The Lights concert she had once went to and how she loved it. I, being a big fan of HTL, introduced myself, and we instantly clicked.
My train of thought had been quickly interrupted.
"So how are things going with that new kid? Do you talk often?"
Ugh, I knew she would eventually ask that. "Look, if you want to know about him so bad, why don't you freakin' ask him? Jeeze!" I said loudly.
"Well, I just thought, you know, you've never really liked anyone before, and I saw the way you looked at him in math..." Emma made a good point. I hadn't liked many guys in my 14 years of existence. They were all too immature and cracked too many fart jokes.
"Well, Aaron's different. He actually has sense enough to realize that girls don't find it attractive to act like you're mentally challenged." I immediately regretted saying that. Emma's eyes widened at me, and she started saying, "Ooh! You DO like him! Mel and Aaron sitting in a bush, all you can hear is-"
"Shut the fuck up! We're gonna get caught!" I whispered. That's when someone knocked on the door.

Aaron's POV:

I hadn't felt very hungry, so I decided to take a walk around the school. The storm had cleared, so I was good. Hopefully the teachers wouldn't mind if I take a self-guided tour around the area.
The school was very large; that much I could already tell. I had received a map earlier in the day of the grounds, so I knew how to get to my next class. If I got lost, I could just find Melody and follow her. After all, we did have all of our classes together. For some strange reason, I couldn't get her out of my head; we had just met, and yet I felt this instant connection between us as soon as I saw her. I found it a bit awkward that it had happened so fast. I wished I could tell her, but I knew she would turn me down. Instead, I could just go find her. I saw her disappear with that blonde girl from first and second period.. I think her name was Emma. I followed the direction I had seen them go towards, and quickly, I heard a bass guitar being played. Then, I heard mumbled talking, and instantly recognized Melody's voice with a quick yell of, "Shut the fuck up! We're gonna get caught!". Caught? What were they doing? I was standing in front of a door, with big red letters on it reading, MUSIC ROOM. I knocked loudly.

Back to Melody's POV:

Emma and I looked at each other in terror. I was hoping that it wasn't a teacher. We both tiptoed quietly to the d oor and I looked out through the peephole on the door, which was oddly placed. Who needs a peephole in a school? I realized it was just Aaron, which was weird to me. It was like he stalked me, or something.
I opened the door, and immediately grabbed Aaron, threw him into the room, and closed the door and locked it. "What the hell was that for?" He said, getting up from the ground. I guess he had fallen over.
"Sorry, but, no one's supposed to know we're in here." I explained to him about being in here at lunch all the time, and he seemed to understand.
"So, um... how much of our conversation did you hear?" I asked cautiously.
"Just the end, when you yelled to shut up," Aaron replied, and hopefully he was truthful.
"Alright, well, we'll have to fill you in on that, then. We were talking about how Me-" Emma didn't finish. I had tackled her to the ground and pinned her down. She erupted into a fit of laughter that lasted until the bell rang for the end of our lunch period. Now it was time for jazz band, and since we were already here, all we had to do was sit and wait for the rest of the class to come.

Okay, when I said 'alot longer' I guess that it didn't really register in my mind that I would have run out of things to say. So, chapter 6 will be up soon, I hope. Read and review.
