Dedicated to

James Delaney Swinney

Thirteen years.

What is behind your username?

Well, my name, I guess =D

About Writing:

When did you start writing?

Summer, 2010.

Though I had been writing random bits and pieces for ages before that

Why did you start writing?

I was hugely impressed by Jack Whyte’s A Dream of Eagles Series, so I figured that if he could write that much, that well, so could I!

What is your favorite subject to write?

Certainly High/Epic Fantasy

What inspires you to write?

Wattpad does. The fans I have, the amazing comments that I get.

This is an awesome website!

What do you like the most about writing?

I love learning how to write with different dialects. They’re so much fun to do, and it can get some laughs in a story.

What work of yours are you most proud of?

I’m most proud of a story that I haven’t even posted on Wattpad. It’s called The Throne of Dreams, and I personally think that it’s a culmination of all the writing experience I’ve had over the last year.

It’s my first work that I actually think has a chance at being published!

Do you plan on making a career out of writing?

That’s the master plan. I’ll focus on my English and language arts classes and then I’ll head on off to university. Soon enough I’ll be writing full time.

About reading:

What was the first book you’ve read?

Probably something by Dr. Seuss, or some other silly children’s author. “Hop on Pop,” if I’m not mistaken. But the first book that I read that actually left any soft of impression on me was J.R.R. Tolkien’s “The Hobbit”

What is your favorite type of book to read?

As for my favorite type of book to read, it is also High Fantasy, such as Eddings' The Elenium, Jordan's The Wheel of Time, or Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings. Occasionally I enjoy a good historical fiction, like Jack Whyte's A Dream of Eagles, and I do like John Grisham's crime thriller novels (particularly The Pelican Brief and The Street Lawyer), but Fantasy's always been at the top of the list.

What was the last book you’ve read?

Robert Jordan’s “The Eye of the World”

Who is your favorite Author?

I think it’s a tie between David Eddings and Robert Jordan.

What is currently on your to read list: novel & wattpad?

Well, I’ve got to finish Terry Brooks’ The Sword of Shannara and The Great Hunt by Robert Jordan. As for Wattpad, I need to read TheOrangutan’s Merlin’s Gold, AngusEcrivain’s Half-Light Series, your, The Crimson Claymore, along with many many more stories. As you can see, I’m quite a bit behind on my reading.

About Music:

What do you listen to when you write?

I usually listen to Harry Chapin, Jim Croce, James Taylor, and the like. Their songs are like stories in themselves, and they always inspire me to keep writing.

What is your favorite type of music?

Singer/songwriters of the seventies and the early eighties, including those I’ve mentioned above, along with Paul Simon, Dan Fogelberg, and John Denver, among others.

About movies:

What are your favorite movies/shows?

My favorite T.V. shows are comedy shows like The Big Bang Theory, How I Met Your Mother, and Chuck. I also like a good crime show, like C.S.I and Law and Order (particularly Special Victims Unit). As for movies I really like the Peter Jackson Lord of the Rings Films. I enjoy parody movies like Robin Hood Men In Tights and Monty Python and the Holy Grail. I loved the Princess Bride.

What actor would play you in a movie?

I think that Brad Pitt would play me in a movie about my life.

What is your favorite quote?

“Never laugh at live Dragons,” Bilbo Baggins. I’ve stated rereading The Hobbit, and it’s been on my mind.

What is your favorite candy?
