The library was very quiet, with no one there except Nicole and the librarian; Ms Cole. She was an old lady with silky, white hair neatly tied up in a bun, huge sight glasses on and when it came to fashion, she knew her thing better than some youths. She wore a red two-piece; a pencil skirt that sat on her like second skin, and a waist coat inside which she wore a white silk blouse with ruffles at the front. She even wore 2 inch heels and walked perfectly without faltering. In all of Whittenhill city, she was probably the most glamorous old lady. Rumour had it that she used to be a model in her younger years, but because she had a passion for literature, she decided to be a librarian after retiring from the modelling industry. Who knows; she was from England. She had became good friends with Norah, and she loved Nicole to bits. She was almost like her fairy godmother or something, because she was there for her when it came to any problems concerning school.

Nicole sat quietly at a desk, staring blankly into space when her phone started ringing. The strict Ms Cole shot her a warning glare and she quickly rejected the call, collected her bags and started for the exit.

"Why aren't you in class anyway, child?'' asked the librarian in her very strong British accent.

''Oh, I got sent out because that idiot, Darren came late as usual, and like everyone else I was just looking at him for disrupting the lesson, but I got sent out instead 'cause apparently I'm the one who disrupted the lesson! It's just ridiculous!'' she fumed. Ms Cole smiled lightly and looked at Nicole with compassion.

''Now, now, my girl, you don't want to be getting angry over such a petty issue. Indeed it is utterly ludicrous that he should send you out, but keep your head up, darling, because you need all those good grades to move forward, isn't that so?'' Ms Cole said softly. Nicole saw sense and nodded her head.

''Now, how is dear Norah doing?'' she asked in a very concerned voice, stopping the typing she had been doing.

''Well, the hospital called and said they have to admit her indefinitely. I'm really worried about her, Ms Cole.'' Nicole sighed.

''Aw, don't you worry, my child. Norah is a very strong woman, you know. Ever since I met her, she has never whined or complained; she just kept doing it no matter what! She'll pull through, love. If you need anything, pop into my house. Or you could move in with me if you want to!'' Ms Cole looked at the younger lady expectantly. To Nicole, the idea sounded fascinating; Ms Cole had a lovely, cosy house and a very sweet granddaughter with whom Nicole could chill, but she needed a job so she can get money.

''Thank you Ms Cole, but I couldn't possibly be a burden to you. Besides, I've found a job with Mrs Smith and I will be living with them.'' At mention of Elizabeth's name, Ms Cole raised her eyebrows at Nicole in shock.

''You are going to work with that idiot's grandmother? Well, well! Good luck with that, love. She is quite a handful sometimes, especially now that she thinks she's going to die soon, bless her.'' Ms Cole chuckled. Nicole managed a smile and tried to think of something to defend Mrs Smith.

''She isn't all that bad actually. I know that she's really sweet and kind and considerate.'' Nicole said delightfully, but Ms Cole only burst out laughing.

''Oh you do crack me up, Nicole. Anyway, you shall see for yourself, shan't you?'' and she chuckled before going back to work. Nicole decided that meant she was dismissed, so she bade her farewell and left for her next lecture.

Marissa walked into the girls toilet, looking quickly behind her to see if anyone was looking. Once inside, she looked under every cubicle door to see if there was anyone inside. Satisfied that she was alone, she dropped her Gucci bag onto the basin and started rummaging through it. A lot of expensive-looking items came out of her bag until she finally got a hold of her iPhone. She tapped a few buttons and started a video conversation with some girl.
