Jade Carson
I stared out my window; I always did that, but I don't know why. I HATED where I live, there were no trees and no grass, and I was basically living in a freaking desert. Oh and get this, It's so small it's not even a town. Seriously, it’s a community. Yeah I live in Avoca, Texas, and I freaking hate it! There's no cute guys, and there like four kids in my class. Yeah my community is small I know, you don't have to say anything.
I walked away from my window and sat on my bed. I glanced around my room; it was a light brown and had blue carpet. Despite that, my room was Japanese themed. I had always loved their culture, and that was probably the only thing I like about this place, my room. I grabbed my itouch and stuck my purple headphones in my ears. I decided to listen to 3OH!3.
I was jamming out to Touching On My when my mom yelled, "Jade can you come here for a second?" I groaned I wanted to keep listening to 3OH!3 but I put down my headphones and Itouch and walked to my Mom's room.
My parent's where there. Was I in trouble? Oh my god they were going to ground me! Wait what am I talking about? I haven't gotten into trouble. "What's up?" I asked them. After I said that my 12-year-old sister here too, which meant I had a high probability for getting in trouble for something she did.
My dad looked at us with a serious expression, "Well guys, we're moving." My Dad announced. My eyes widened and my jaw drop.
"Moving seriously!?!?! Oh my god where?" I exclaimed. Thank you Lord I'm moving!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My sister stomped her feet "What we're moving, no we can't move. I want to be a cheerleader and if we move I won’t get to be one!" She was on the verge of tears.
I felt bad for her, she really did want to be a cheerleader, and I knew because as much as she hated me helping her she always wanted me to help her with cheer leading. My dad held up a hand "I have already asked and they said you could be a cheerleader."
"But they are going to have weird uniforms, why do we have to move." she stomped off slamming her door when she got to her room.
"Wow I never knew how much she wanted that." I said not feeling sorry she was so overreacting.
"It’s because she wants to be like her older sister." I just rolled my eyes. Just because I have been a cheerleader since kindergarten doesn't mean she wants to be like me.
"So where we moving to?" I asked.
"We're moving to Ozona." He told us smiling. I smiled
"Is is any bigger there than here?" I asked hopefully.
"Yep it’s almost two A" I jumped and did a happy dance. Finally no more six man schools. (If you don’t know what that is, it’s like a .5 A school and in football instead of eleven, it’s only six.)
"When are we moving?" I asked. "Well we're moving next week so get packing.' My Dad told us. Well that explains why mom has been getting boxes from everywhere.
I was about to leave when my dad said. "I have more news." I turned around to look at him.
"I'm going to be the principal of your school.' He announced grinning. Just my luck!
I'm not being mean I loved my Dad. However, he's been my principal before. Yeah my life is a living hell with him being a principal. Everyone’s always like you only got this because you principals daughter, you didn’t really earn it. Ya, people like that piss me off. If my dad wasn't such a don't get in trouble or I’m going to do this, they would have a black eye by now. But My Dad's awesome, he's not boring but he is kind of a work-aholic, when he says one minute he means an hour. Oh and you know how no texting in class well My Dad texts me during class, yeah DURING, and he doesn’t mind. We also have boy talk (and he's not gay).
