"How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.

I love thee to the depth and breadth and height

My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight.

I love thee with a love I seemed to lose

With my lost saints,

I love thee with the breath,

Smiles, tears, of all my life!

and, if God choose,

I shall but love thee better after death."

-Elizabeth Barrett Browning

*The One-Winged Dove* :

She gazes at the soul

with which she hast fallen in love,

but he knowest not,

of this one winged dove.

She knows he is dwelling

in his hidden grief,

but he knowest not

that she could grant him relief.

She senses the tears

hidden behind his strong eyes,

she can see through the facade

she sees through the lies.

The one winged dove

knows he's torn apart,

but he knowest not

how she longs to mend his broken heart

His dark eyes,

filled with sorrow,

but he knowest not,

of the strength she'd let him borrow.

He has loved long another,

so the one winged dove knows,

but despite it all,

her love for him grows.

She hast remained one winged

for he is her other,

but she cannot have him,

as he belongs to another...

She bears so much love

to give away,

she silently hopes

he'd love her too someday

But until then, she weeps and prays

"Oh Lord, grant him mercy and love,

and make him soar,

through the heavens above."

And then she adores him deeper,

the soul with which she's in love,

but alas...he knowest not,

of this one winged dove.

-Aiyla

"The hardest things to let go of are the things you never really had...especially if its a special someone."

"Its hard to wait around for something you know might never happen, but its even harder to give up when it's everything you want."
