I felt water in my ears and a sharp pain on my side causing me to wake up.
"...getting up. Let her be."
I opened my eyes to see a bunch of faces starring down at me. Two boys and one girl. Where the hell was I?
I sat up and starred down at my hands, which were covered in blood. I peered down at my waist where the blood was coming from.
"Where am I?" I asked.
"You're on our boat. We found you basically floating on the ocean. So we rescued you." the girl said. Oh no. These people are humans, which means they don't know who or what I am.
I peered up at them knowing that I had to get out of here. I wonder if I could heal myself or numb the pain somehow.
"Why am I bleeding?" I said while putting my hand over my wound, which felt better just by my touch. They both peered at the boy farthest away from me.
"Well, Micah over here shot you, but only 'cause we thought you were a vampire or something. Weird to say, but that happened to us before." I looked at them and my eyes widened.
"You guys hunt vampires?" I asked curiously.
"Actually we hunt all creatures of the night. Why?" Oh. My. God. I'm dead.
"Just curious."
"By the way my name is Vera, and this is Marcus and Micah." She said pointing to them.
Vera was tall and her skin was the color of peanut butter. Her eyes were crimson, and her hair was bright red. Marcus had curly black hair that was long to wear he could tuck a little bit of it behind his ear. He had snow - white skin, and his eyes were a little darker then Vera's. As for Micah, you could tell he had white skin, but probably got a VERY good tan from being out in the sun too much. His hair was short, and he was big, and built. His eyes were brighter then Vera's but similar to the same color. All of their eyes were shades of red.
"I'm Lalu," I said smiling lightly.
"What an unusual name." Vera stated. I nodded agreeing with her, but I loved it.
I was about to say something when I felt a tingling feeling come from my waist. My wound was healing, but none of them seemed to notice.
I was now standing up and I was covering my eyes from changing color.
"Do you have any sun glasses?" I asked. They all starred at me and then nodded their heads.
"Yeah, here" Micah said while tossing my dark shades.
When he gave me the shades, I decided to look around and see how big this boat was. Hmm. It was pretty big. About the same size as the boat on I'm on a Boat. Haha that was weird.
"Get a first aid kit" Vera said. I was covering up my wound making it look like it got worse, so they wouldn't find out what I was.
The truth was I could leave right now if I wanted to, but I wanted to learn more about what they do and how much they accomplish.
Marcus came up to me and grabbed my hand taking me to a room with a bed and mirror.
"Rest here," he said. He started walking out the room when I realized I still had questions I needed to ask.
"Hey wait! Can I ask some questions?" He sighed and came down and sat next to me.
"Make them fast." I nodded my head.
"What are you guys doing out in the middle of the ocean?"
"We were taking a vacation," he said kind of pondering as he said it.
"Why are all of your eyes red?" said.
"It's what happens when you've killed a lot of creatures of the night. When your eyes are dark red that means you've killed a lot of them. When they are light that means you've barely killed any."
Oh SHIT! His eyes were the darkest out of all of them. This is great. It's like I have a fricin death wish! "And why do you still have shades on inside?" he asked. I starred at him, and he grabbed the glasses from off my face. I was pleading my eyes not to change color, but they did and he saw.
His eyes widened and then anger flashed through them. Marcus grabbed my neck and pushed my against the wall TRYING to choke me.
"What are you?" he said gripping my neck harder.
I was about to tell him, but out of the corner of my eyes I could see dark looking figure coming from the mirror. He starred as the dark figures as they came closer and closer. Are those...goblins? Oh yeah, I'm angelic. Remember? The goblins came up to Marcus, and to my surprise, they spoke.
"Back off human. If you hurt her physically it's straight to hell for you." Wow they sounded like regular people, but they sure as hell didn't look like them.
He was so distracted by them, so I grabbed his arm and slammed him on the wall, leaving a dent. Damn, Am I strong to?
I walked to the door, and smiled at him. He starred right back, and I left and went up the stairs to the deck and saw Vera and Micah sitting down eating fruit. They saw the color of my eyes and started to panic and freak out. Before Micah or Vera could grab a weapon I jumped off the boat and into the water.
