"I can't stay here." A lonely plea echoed through the dark moon lit hollow room.
"Please..." The weak voice struggled, the voice of a young boy, exhausted and confused.
"You don't understand!" the weak plea turned into a loud cry,
"I can help you." His last words were steady and cold. The boy was tied to a cross, his hands and ankle bond by thick rope cutting into his skin. He was tied there, looking down helplessly. He wasn't wearing a shirt so that his scars from whips, burns and bruises could show across his scrawny front and back.
"WEEKS!" He screamed out lifting his head to stare into the darkness of the hollow room.
"Weeks you have kept me here, torturing me...and you still won't let me speak." He paused, waiting or an answer that he knew would not come,
"I know what you need to know. Before you kill me, let me speak the truth!" Truth. The last word, said so strongly, echoed around the room. In the moon light his expression was intense, his angry words swimming around his head, waiting to be heard. Then a voice, not the one of the struggling boy but another one. The voice, seemingly coming from no where, in the shadowy room, reached the boys ears and said,
"What is the truth?" The icy tone took the breath away from the shocked boy. His head strained from the bounds, trying to find the source of the voice and whispered,
"What really happened. The fall of the human race, the real reason why Earth is now on the verge of destruction." He paused, caught his breath and then said louder,
"You and I both know the truth and we both know that people must hear it. We must let the voice of the fallen be heard!" Emotions were bubbling inside of him but it was not heard in his voice and it did not show on his face, he know he could not show weakness.
"If you let me go, let my voice be heard, I could save millions." A long dark silence lingered in the air, the boys eyes staring at the shadowy corner to the right.
"And that," The voice cut through the silence,
"Is why," The voice spoke slowly, and from the dark corner the owner of the voice emerged.
"The truth," The boy gasped and his eyes widen at the sight of the speaker.
"Must die."As the words were spoken the boy collapsed from the now untied bounds and lay in a lifeless heap where the only person who knew the truth lay dead.
