Chapter 14

The week just got better and better from then on. I saw her every night, we hung out for a couple of hours, chatting about anything and everything, I don’t think I’d ever been as interested in learning everything about someone, ever. I made a mental list of questions every time I went round there and just fired them at her until I was done. She was adorable, sweet, funny and not to mention hot as sin.

Today was Friday and we were heading out to a club tonight. Rosie had arranged for her sister to come and watch DJ so we could go out, and I couldn’t wait to show my girlfriend off in public. This would be the first time we’d actually been ‘out’ as a couple because we couldn’t all week because of DJ.

Because we were heading out fairly early, we were all meeting at Ashton’s place. Rosie didn’t want me to pick her up because by the time she left her apartment, DJ would still be awake and I was still keeping my distance from him ‘just in case’ things didn’t work out. Every day that seemed less and less likely though, I was crazy about her and could barely get through the day without texting her. Lucky for me, she seemed to feel the same about me, well I hoped she did anyway. She was definitely giving me a chance and I wasn’t blowing it, although I still think she was expecting me to.

When I knocked on Ashton’s apartment door I was a little shocked when Rosie answered it. “Hey!” she chirped in her beautiful voice.

I dragged my pervert eyes down her body as I grunted a hello. How on earth was I going to keep my hands off of her tonight? She was wearing little black shorts that made her legs look long and toned, and an emerald green short sleeve top that was loose fitted, little black ankle boots with a high heel on them that would probably kill her later on.

“Wow Stripes, you look…… good enough that I don’t even want to go out anymore,” I said, nodding appreciatively, as I raked my eyes over her again.

She laughed and put one finger under my chin, lifting my head up so I had to look at her face. “Want a picture, Nate?” She smirked at me.

I nodded and grabbed my cell phone from my pocket, “Yeah actually, pose sexy for me,” I instructed, not even slightly joking.

She laughed and snatched the phone from my hands, moving to stand next to me. She held the phone out and took a one armed shot of us together instead, making me laugh and kiss the side of her head. She grinned and handed the phone back to me, I ran my hand down her arm and interlaced our fingers, loving the feel of her skin against mine. Had it really only been twenty-four hours since I last saw her? It felt like forever.

“Have a good day at work?” she asked, pulling me into the apartment, shutting the door behind me.

I shrugged, “A boring one. I had nothing to do, so I was just working out and target shooting, nothing exciting.”

She narrowed her eyes and pursed her lips. “Were you getting all sweaty?” she asked, pressing her chest against mine.

I groaned, I love it when she flirted with me, it literally made the hair on the back of my neck stand up on end. “And dirty,” I replied, nodding.

She sighed, “Well I’m sorry I missed that.” She bit her bottom lip, her eyes locked onto mine.

I reached my thumb up and pulled her lip from between her teeth. “Don’t bite your lip….. that’s my job,” I stated as I bent my head and kissed her softly. She laughed against my lips and I couldn’t help but smile, I loved to make her laugh.
