Chapter Six
"Repetiz conmigo." said Ms. Sanchez, (repeat with me.) "Yo corro, tu corres, el corre..." (I run, you run, we run...) Can this class get any more boring than it already is? I mean puh - lease (!!!) Thirty minutes! Thirty insane minutes repeating the same things over and over again, and of course who is sitting next to me? Ian, and has he even had the courtesy to talk to me? No! of course he hasn't he has been all over Ashley looking up at her, while her impertinent giggling filled the class. After I finished talking with Dawn I went to Spanish, Ian was already there when I arrived, he was sitting with his books scattered all over the table, but he quickly pulled them to the other side once I was settled in my chair. And we haven't talked since the incident of my vision. Not that I want to. I just want a reason as to why he is being such a jerk. "Ms. Moretti where is the verb in the sentence?" asked the teacher, pulling me away from my thoughts. "Ofrecer is the verb in the phrase." (To offer.) I answered. I was about to pull my iPod from my bag when suddenly, I froze. One of the blood doses I was carrying in my bag was leaking, and there now was a big red blob in the bottom of my bag. Aw, crap! I tugged the bag upwards and lifted it in order to place it in the table; I began cleaning the syringes and the tubes with some wet Kleenex I kept for emergencies. It wasn't until I began scrubbing the stain when I noticed Ian tense up. He normally relaxed posture, was now strained as if he were about to leap towards me. Dude, he is sometimes scary. While thinking about Ian, I by accident pinched my thumb with the needle, and fresh blood began to ooze from the cut. He gasped as if something had hit him straight in the stomach. I looked at him, concern all over my face. "Are you alright?" I whispered. He didn't respond, not even nod. And suddenly the necklace emitted a dark blue light, I was fighting the urge to let all the magic flow through me. I looked at Ian once again, but this time it was me that gasped. His eyes were black! His amazing violet eyes were now black. He abruptly stood up, and walked quickly but gracefully towards the teacher, who bewildered by Ian's expression ushered him out of the class making him promise that he was feeling all right. I watched him walk out of the class and down the corridor until he opened the front door of the school and this closed behind him. I sucked my thumb and pondered on what I had done to make Ian so mad at me. Nothing, I just pinched my... thumb? The necklace was still glowing in dark blue, I tugged it under my shirt but felt a shiver as the stone made contact with my skin. The necklace was cold. But that wasn't possible, the necklace only turned cold when there were... I gulped. No it's just the cold I said to myself, I am safe here. They won't find me. The bell rang indicating the ending of the classes, Mandy and I were walking towards my car, we were laughing and discussing the homework we had for tomorrow. Yeah, cool right? (Note: the sarcasm.) "So I have history, and math. Jeez I just hate math, it's so boring I mean..." "Hey girls!" she was cut by Ashley as she butted into our conversation. You can tell I don't like her that much... well it's just that she acts retarded. Sorry yes, I know I shouldn't say those things but please, she clearly acts as if she fell of the bed when she was small and smacked her head pretty hard... I feel sorry for her. "Ohmigod! That's your car?!" she squeaked at me. "Mmm... yeah? It's mine." "Lord, it's awesome. Can I see the inside?" Ok... see what I mean, it's just a car... well ok it's a black Aston Martin, the new model that has come into the market... but still, not that I chose it or anything, my parents decided it was nice and they bought it for me before anything happened to them. "Sure go inside if you want, the only thing don't fiddle to much with the compartment next to driver's seat. I didn't want her to find my medicine. I dumped my bag in the bag of the car just in time to turn around and watch Brayden and Dawn walk out of the school and into their car. Well, more than walk they floated, I mean no, they weren't flying but there steps were so synchronized and so gracile that they looked as if they were floating instead of walking. Suddenly Dawn turned around and looked at me, she grinned broadly at me and went into the passenger seat of the car, but Brayden on the other hand just stared at me with an aroused expression.
