Chapter 8

I closed my eyes, as he held me. I couldn't look around to see where I was going...he was running so fast I was about to get sick.

Then against my will I fell into a deep dreamless sleep.

I woke up hearing screaming outside the room I was in.

"You can't let her know we're werewolves right away! It'll scare the crap outta her!! After all of that shit they made her think of us!" one of the voices yelled.

"Well she's going to find out no matter what! And if we tell her right away we'll gain her trust!" the other voice yelled, and I knew that voice. It was my brothers.....

*Flashback start*

Me and Brittany we're laughing as we played with our Barbies. Like any normal six year old would be doing.

Then we heard a lot of sobbing, and my older sister came in. me and Brittany quickly ran up to her. "What's wrong sis?" I asked. "We promise to keep it a secret!" Brittany added.

My sister broke into even harder sobs. And me and Brittany were freaking out, we never saw her this upset. "A-Alex was killed!" my sister wailed.
Me and Brittany just froze. We couldn't believe it. I mean how could our brother die? He never did anything wrong. Or did he?

The world is so unfair, me and Brittany thought, and with that we broke out in tears.

*Flashback end*

Well I guess he lied to us. B-but this I can't believe my big, nice, protective brother, evil? No it's impossible. But then how come he's a werewolf? And how come he's involved with me being kidnapped? I can't believe this first my parents, then Brittany, and now Alex!

Click. Someone was opening the door. I quickly closed my eyes and pretended to go to sleep. Good thing I was always good at pretending to sleep. "I've missed you so much Layla." My brother said. And sat down on the bed, I could tell he thought I was asleep. "I thought you would've come on your own. I mean it was Brittany that I wasn't sure about! What made you decide not to come?! I mean how stupid-" I was pissed off now.

"I didn't come because I'm not evil!!" I growled the words at him. I knocked the hand that he put on my shoulder off.

He looked truly shocked that I heard what he was saying. And I was happy that I surprised him. "Maybe we are 'evil' but we're smart. You know a wars going to happen soon?" I nodded my head. "And evil is going to win. And I want you on our side, so we can be a family again." He said.

I sat-up and said, "first of all evil WILL LOSE, it's my side that's going to win. And second of all there's no way I'm joining family with you, and even if I did what about Kayla!?"

"You are so naïve, after all that stuff the academy told you." He said with a sigh. "And Kayla is smart, she'll learn over time that she needs to switch sides." He added.

I knew he was 100% wrong. I saw the look in my sisters eyes before, she'll never switch sides. So I decided to say, "How about this, once Kayla switches sides I will too?"I asked him.

He groaned. "You always were stubborn, but fine, fine I agree to your conditions." He said with a sigh.

"Now I want to be brought back home!" I yelled at him, still annoyed I was woke up in the middle of the night to be kidnapped.

"Fine, fine." He said annoyed.

I fell back asleep in his arms. I woke-up with a note next to me.

Dear Layla,

Hello, you don't know me but I'm friends with your brother. And I heard about the 'conditions you 2 agreed on. Even though your brother doesn't see through your plan, I do. I know that Kayla will never agree to switch sides. But remember even though your brother would never make you switch side against your will, he's not the strongest person here. I am. I'm in charge of all the werewolves. And we need you on our side, so we can win this war. So I will warn you. Join us now, or watch your back. If you make the smart decision, and decide to join us meet me at the gates of the academy at midnight. Remember it'll be easier if we don't have to force you. And I mean easier for you.

I felt an involuntary shiver going down my spine. When I realized what I had to do. I knew Liz wasn't joking about it being 'easier' for me. I knew she would start killing my family and friends till I went with her. So I had 1 choice, to go.

And kill Liz....
