So, just so everyone knows, I know that Trelawney has left by this point, but I wanted to have her in this chapter, so yeah…

**Alex’s POV**

The next morning we’re all expecting to be escorted from breakfast to be interrogated, but Umbridge just seems to be in a bad mood.

“Harry,” I whisper, leaning towards him, “did she get the list?”

“Dumbledore took it with him,” he says, “luckily…”

I breathe a sigh of relief as Scarlett hurries over to our table.

“Did you hear? Umbridge is the new head,” she says, “but apparently the Headmaster’s office has sealed itself against her.”

“Brilliant,” Fred says, “I think what our new Head needs is a little trouble.”

“Fred,” I groan.

“Don’t worry,” he says, “she won’t know it’s us.”

He exchanges a smile with George and I shake my head. There’s no stopping them.

Before lunch I have a study period, so I sit in the library going over potions notes. When the lunch bell goes I start to pack up when I hear a loud BOOM.

“What was that?” someone cries.

“Weasleys,” I mutter, slinging my bag over my arm and hurrying into the hallway. I run down to the next level and am nearly hit in the face with a firework. They’re everywhere, spinning, flipping, sparking, all different colours and sizes. It would be amazing if I wasn’t in risk of losing an eye or being lit on fire. The hallways soon fill with students either trying to get away or trying to watch. Filch appears, swatting at them with a broom, followed by Umbridge trying to stop them. Every time she tries they multiply.

I press against the wall and make my way to a statue to take shelter behind it.

“Wouldn’t do that that I were you,” Fred’s voice says in my ear, “it’s going to explode in a moment.”

He pulls me back behind a tapestry where George and Harry are laughing hysterically.

“I hope she tries vanishing them,” George chuckles, “they multiply by ten every time you try.

“These are fantastic,” I say, peering out from around the tapestry. Suddenly it flies back and Umbridge’s angry face is there.

“What,” she spits, “are you doing here?”

“Trying to stay away from the fireworks,” I reply, “we were going to try vanishing them, but our aim isn’t too good, what with hand damage and all.”

“Vanishing…” Umbridge mutters, “FILCH! VANISH THEM!”

“Run,” Fred laughs as Umbridge disappears, “this won’t be pretty…”

We run up to the next floor and look down on the chaos.

“This is brilliant,” I say happily.

The Easter holidays finish before they really start and before I know it I’m sitting in our last Charms class revising for the fast approaching exams.
