Unfortunately, class was over and he had English, and I had PE. Great. We were walking out of the door when he said, " Hey im going to eat with you today, if you don't mind..." he had a vulnerable look in his eyes, trying to get me to say yes. Its not like I was going to say no - who would ever say no to him?

" Of course I don't mind. Its not like im mean or something." I said, but I remembered when I bumped into him.

He clearly remembered to " Right, like you could ever be mean! " he said sarcastically, and smiling as he was walking away.

" See you at lunch! " he shouted over his shoulder as he was half way down the hall.

I smiled to myself and started walking to class until I saw people - girls actually - glaring at me. It just got me really angry.

"What the hell are you looking at?! Just because the hot new guy talks to me, you think you can give me dirty looks? " I talked loudly, enough so mostly all the girls, and everyone else in the hall, could hear me.

"He's to good for her anyways." I heard Melissa Ruth say to one of her friends and giggle, but stopped when she heard me coming. I walked up to her - my face right in front of hers.

"Bite me." Was all I said and walked away. Most of the girls here were intimidated by me. Melissa was one of those girls. Little did she know that I would be doing the biting.

My classes went by in a blur because my mind was filled with thoughts about Pierce. His gorgeous green eyes, dark hair, perfect lips....then I thought about Melissa. Was I really not good enough for him? Whatever, its not like it matters anyways. I don't even think he likes me.

During passing period, I went to the bathroom. As I walked in, some girls were laughing and gossiping about the new guy - Pierce. As soon as they saw me they looked down at the ground and walked out.

I sighed as I went to look in the mirror. I hated how I looked to other people - beautiful. I just wanted to be a normal looking girl, pretty. But I was stuck with my lower back length blue-black hair, silver almond shaped eyes , heart shaped face, full lips and light but tan skin.

The only thing I liked about my appearance was my scar. It was a faint pink line that started in the middle if my cheek and curved down to a stop under the right side of my lower lip on my chin. I thought my scar was truly beautiful.
I don't really remember how I got it, I only remember that my dad told me I was attacked by a big dog in our front yard. He killed it obviously, ( I would too if it just attacked my child right in front of me) but it wasn't until after it got me in the face. He said I wasn't even crying, I was just staring at it in the mirror in our bathroom, with an amazed look on my face...

My train of thought was interrupted when someone walked in the bathroom. It was Mallory.

" Mal, hey! Are you okay? This morning you sounded sad, and scared I didn't mean to hurt your feelings, if I did I'm sorry-" she stopped me by putting her hand up.

" I'm fine, I was just a little scared. I'm sure it really was a dream. Now lets go get some lunch, I'm starving. " she said smiling and locking our arms together.

I smiled back " Me too. "

I was in line getting a chicken wrap and Vitamin Water with Mal beside me when from the corner of my eye, I saw Pierce walking towards us.

" Hey Loralai! " he said enthusiastically, " Hi I'm Pierce, I'm new here. " he said turning to Mallory.

She didn't speak, she just stared. So I spoke for her, " Uhh this is my best friend Mallory, sorry, I think she ate something bad," I said , smiling just a little. I turned to Mallory and whispered in her ear, " Mal, what's wrong with you? I know he's hot and all but..." she looked up at me with scared eyes but didn't speak. Ill talk with her later about it

" So, are you going to eat anything? " I asked him, while I was turning away from Mallory.

" Ill just sit with you, I'm not that hungry" he smiled, and my heart felt like it was going to burst, he was so gorgeous.

" Kay " I said while we were walking to the table right in the middle. Just like earlier, all the girls glared at Mallory and me. The guys also gave Pierce some dirty looks too.

" Whats the HELL is EVERYONE LOOKING AT!?!? " I yelled to the whole cafeteria. This stuff was really pissing me off.

" I think theyre jealous Loralai. " He chuckled.

" Why are they jealous? " I was annoyed.

" Well maybe its because im walking with the most beautiful girl in school, and your walking with the most hottest guy in school. " he said in my ear, and I shivered. I could feel my face getting red.
