Aron and I easily picked her up and brought her to the pack house.

Her body remained limp and unconscience. Her wolf face was, although clearly not healthy, still ethereal. And when her eyes were open they were this luminescent green with brown and tints of yellow in the middle and they were gorgeous.

Then my anger pressed in. Who would do this to her?  Why would they? What could someone as small and as malnourished as her do to deserve this? Just who is she? A million questions ran through my head as we made our way through the thickets.

We neared the house and Danica immediately opened the door for us. Aron helped me lift her body into the room.

"I got it." I said getting possessive. Aron gave me her hindquarters and took off towards Danica, watching us with wary eyes. I carried her up the stairs and avoided the curious eyes of the pack mates lounging about in the kitchen.

I trudged up the stairs until I reac.hed my room. After walking in, I gently set her down on the bed and let her tail swoop down off the side of the bed.

Danica raced into my room with all her medic care, ready to help.

"Will she be okay?" I asked.

"If I help her then yes. I'll treat her as much as I can in her wolf, but she needs to phase back so I can see past all this fur." She said before setting up an IV by the bed frame . I nodded and walked around aimlessly in the room. Danica grabbed for the wolfs paw and injected it with some clear liquid.

I have a quiet growl. She looked back at me with curious eyes. They soon grew understanding.

"Oh my... Damon I'm sorry. I didn't realize she was your . . ." She trailed off.

"It's okay. Can you force her to phase and will she be ok?" I replied, rubbing my temples.

"Yes. You may not want to stay.." Danica said.

Why would she say that? Like hell I would leave knowing what I know.

I ran to my closet and grabbed a large shirt for her to wear.

"I'm not going anywhere." I said, leaving the white shirt on the bed.

"Alright. Here we go." Danica said. She grabbed an herb out of her pocket.

"Wolfs bane?" I asked backing away.

"No. It's similar but it only force her to change. It's Polapoa.'' She replied and opened the mouth of the she-wolf. She shoved her hand down her throat and made her swallow. All the sudden, her tail grew in and she started to slowly phase.

Danica's hand pressed over her mouth and I had to grind my teeth together. We could hear her bones crackling which shouldn't be happening. Her bones should've glided smoothly back into place, but instead they were rugged and hard; as if they hadn't been used properly all her years of shifting.

I wanted to help her and keep her safe. I hated seeing her in pain and I haven't even known her for longer than an hour and already I wanted to protect her. I want to know her, and understand what's happened to her.

Finally the shift ended. She lay there with long brown hair strewn across the pillow. Her ribcage was easy to spot and her arms were like tooth picks, along with her legs. Her stomach was as if it were being sucked in but I knew she was just malnourished.

"I've never seen anyone so emaciated. She has bruised bones and no ounce of meat on her. The IV shifted out of place so I'll have to fix that," Danica muttered. I nodded and glanced at the frail body.
