    Prisoner Of Love and War {part 1}

    Prisoner Of Love And War {part 1}
    By Vickiecom
    Raylee jumped up from the old cot. She was abruptly woken from a peaceful sleep.
    Looking around, it took her a minute to come back to the reality of her surroundings. Her own eight by twelve personal hell complete with a toilet that held no hope of privacy. Swearing out loud as she looked out in the dark through the bars of her prison cell. Aloud siren warned her of impending danger. Oh my god! they are attacking again. She wondered how she could have such peaceful dreams of her family and life on the farm. When she lived a nightmare of an existence. As she looked out of her small cell window. she could see shadows of the walking dead moving around the compound and their guardians moving in front of the zombies blocking them from reaching their goal. Fights broke out all around the compound. The zombies were slow but relentless, they had one goal that was to kill humans and eat flesh. Not that they were able to have coherent thoughts but more like a driven need. There was only one way to make sure the zombies were dead, by chopping off their heads and set fire to the body. The thoughts of killing a zombie sent chills through Raylee's soul. Remembering when she was fifteen and the world still made sense. She lived with her parents and her little sister Alison who was six in a small farm house in Indiana. The night that it all changed, they were sitting in their living room in their modest farm house. Raylee was sitting on the floor next to Alison and her parents were sitting on the couch next to each other watching TV. When the emergency broadcasting service interrupted their show. Shocking news report that all the graves in the cemetery all over the world were being vacated and the dead were walking again. Killing everyone in sight. Then the newly dead were getting back up and joining in the massive killing. They were urging everyone to remain calm and secure their residence. Whole cities were being wiped out with very few people escaping. Then she heard breaking glass coming from the kitchen. Her mom and dad jumped up from the couch to check kitchen, sternly warning the girls to stay put. The sounds of a skirmish and screams filled the house. Her mother yelled from the other room begging the girls to escape the house. Raylee was so scared as she grabbed Alison's little hand and ran to the front door. Running as fast as she could with Alison's little legs unable to keep up with her older sister. Raylee ended up dragging Alison's across the field of golden wheat. They hid in a dirty little shed, that held some farm equipment that was located on the other side of their property. After staying hidden for an hour, which seemed more like a week. Raylee peeked out the shed and everything was quiet and she thought it must be safe enough to go back to the house and check on her parents. Slipping out of the shed. Trying to be quiet, she looked down on her little sister and gave her a reassuring smile as she firmly held Alison's hand. They started walking slowly towards the house. Looking down at her frighten sister, who had millions questions that she has no answer for. Raylee was unsure of what has happened but she had no choice to find out. They slowly snuck into the still opened front door. The whole house was dark except the TV was still on. Raylee whispered encouragements to Alison as she looked into her sisters terrified face. They crept into the living room, everything looked the same. Raylee was scared as she carefully tugged ally's small hand, pulling her towards the kitchen. The light from the full moon filtered in through the broken sliding glass door. Shards of glass everywhere. Glass breaking under every step that they took. Looking at the island in the middle of the room. Raylee gasped when she saw the dark liquid pooling on the tiled floor. Peaking around the island she saw the crumpled bloody bodies of her parents. She let out a small scream as her hand tried muffled the sound coming out of her mouth. She let go of ally's hand. not wanting her to see the horrific sight. Looking down at the small blonde child. Raylee tried to protect her sister my moving in front of her, to shield her from what lay hidden behind the island. Carefully making her way around the island. She seen her parents broken and soiled bodies. She looked closer and seen bite marks and chunks taken out of their arms and faces. Shirts and pants ripped
