Sleeping With The Enemy

Chapter 34:

-Jane's POV-

All I could hear were hollers from the boys outside from where I was. It was horrible. My heart literally just broke into thousands of pieces..

"Jane?" It was Liam this time around.

"Mhm?" I mumbled, sniffling slightly as I wiped at my eyes.

"Are you okay in there?" Liam says, although it was barely audible.

"Not really. But barely." I cried, burying my face in my hands.

"I'm sorry." Liam apologized.

"Why are you saying sorry? It wasn't your fault."

"I'm sorry about Harry." He corrected himself.

I shook my head, crying silently.

"Do you mind letting me in?" He asked softly.

I sighed, giving in. After all I needed someone. And that wasn't Harry or Niall right now.

Swinging the door open, Liam stood there with a concerned look on his face.

I just let out the sobs freely, as I threw my arms around the boy in a hug.

"I..I don't know what I did wrong." I cried, closing my eyes as Liam hugged me back.

"Harry's just being the dick he is right now. I'm sorry." He says as I sniffled.

Sighing, we pulled away from the hug as I pulled him into the bathroom.

"You know he actually feels different about you." He says after a silence.

"Doesn't seem like it. I thought it was all a game, but I don't know right now. He comes back, and it feels like the past is slowly coming back as well."

"Isn't that a good thing?"

"No." I whispered. "I thought my invisible life would finally be over, the one where me and Harry would find a way to just tick each other off, yuh know? But it turns out he's still here. Harry's still here to ruin my life again." I sobbed.

"You know I might not know what you and Harry had or what didn't have in the past, but.. I think you both should give it a try. Not just you giving it a try, but both of you."

"Liam, I know you think Harry might be some little angel, but he isn't. I don't know if he will ever change."

Niall knocking on the open door interrupts me and Liam as I looked up.

His face was slightly bruised as I gasped.

"Harry did that to you." I confirmed, in a breath.

He shrugged. "He was being a dick."

I sighed, walking up to him and giving him a hug. "I'm sorry."

"Sorry? Jane I'm sorry you had to hear his bullshit." He said angrily. But his anger was mostly pointed towards Harry.

"No. I was dumb enough to fall for it even though I knew him so well."

He buried his face in my neck as I ran my fingers through his un-quiffed hair.

"What are you gonna do now?" Liam asked leaning on the counter.

"I-I'm gonna move.. Move back to my mum's place." I say after a short silence.
